Located in Shibata-gun, Miyagi, the Michinoku Lakeside National Government Park, or “Michinoku Park”, includes a waterfall, various walking paths, a huge flower garden, as well as boats and resting areas. Has many old original Japanese style houses that was move here from various locations in Japan. Closed on Tuesdays .

This is a huge national park famous for its 7000m² flower garden which is amazing in the spring and summer. You can explore the waterfall, tons of walking paths, try out the boats, and visit a couple different rest houses with food and concessions. If you come just to see the flowers this will be a quick stop, but if you want to walk around and explore you could easily spend a few hours here.
