It’s a major thoroughfare designated as a national highway for much of its route, boasting a width of about 50 meters in its wider sections, making it one of the broadest roads in central Kyoto. Along Gojo Street, you’ll find office districts, large-scale stores, schools, and expansive parks, creating a thoroughly modern ambiance. This area presents a different face compared to the more traditional buildings and small businesses found along Shijo and Sanjo Streets, making it an intriguing part of Kyoto to explore.
