THE FINANCIAL DISTRICT of Lower Manhattan, also known as FiDi, is a neighborhood located on the southern tip of Manhattan island in New York City. It is bounded by the West Side Highway on the west, Chambers Street and City Hall Park on the north, Brooklyn Bridge on the northeast, the East River to the southeast, and South Ferry and the Battery on the south.
The City of New York was created in the Financial District in 1624, and the neighborhood roughly overlaps with the boundaries of the New Amsterdam settlement in the late 17th century. The district comprises the offices and headquarters of many of the city’s major financial institutions, including the New York Stock Exchange and the Federal Reserve Bank of New York.

    Fantastic FiDi walking tour Julien! I wanna say thank you my friend for the very best NYC walking tours on YouTube. I've seen a lot of them just believe me and your tours are the best.
    A few thought about this one. Heaven knows how deep I love FiDi and Lower Manhattan. Each and every building there aim straight to my heart: Trinity Church, Wall Street, Delmonico's Restaurant, Cipriani NYC… and for sure famous Charging Bull and Fearless Girl sculptures. Amazing sculpture of charging bull was designed by my favorite Italian artist Alberto Di Modica. He's a very famous artist and unfortunate he died a few years ago. Sculpture of fearless girl used to stand in front of the charging bull but not too long ago she changed her location to Wall Street. Every International Women's Day a lot of women come here to celebrate her strength, power and women's rights.

    Bonjour Julien,
    I spent tonight (Sunday) with you walking through the Financial District. The Southern Tip of Manhattan (included the Twin Towers, i had Tears in my Eyes on 9/11) has allways fascinated me, an absolute must when we visit NYC. Thank you for walking with you my Friend Julien. Enjoy
