和歌山和歌の浦ハイキング【とある会社の歩こー会】＃40　2023.9　Wakanoura hiking in Wakayama Prefecture, Japan

いつももご視聴ありがとうございます。
今回は、令和5年9月24日に和歌山県の和歌浦へ行って来ました。
ＪＲ和歌山駅から和歌山バスで移動し、和歌浦天満宮と、紀州東照宮へお参りし、潮騒の小径を通って高津子山へ。
高津子山はその昔、新和歌浦遊園があったと思えないほど、観光客も居ない静かな展望台がありました。136.6ｍの頂上の展望台からは360度の海、和歌山市が見渡せて爽快でした。
田ノ浦漁港まで歩いて、そこから和歌浦観光遊歩道を満喫しました。
過去の賑わった観光地から一転、新たに建てられた綺麗なホテルや旅館があり、新和歌の浦と呼ばれた時代から新しい和歌浦に変化しようとしている地域の熱意を感じました。
和歌山城は和歌山市のシンボルとして海外からの観光客も多く居られ、活気を感じました。
和歌山県は県の面積の76％が森林です。観光に関しては海辺の白浜や串本や勝浦が有名ですが、時代は巡って大阪から近い和歌浦が再び脚光を浴びる日がまた来るような気がします。

This time, we went to Wakaura in Wakayama Prefecture on September 24, 2023.
From JR Wakayama Station, take the Wakayama Bus, visit Wakaura Tenmangu Shrine and Kishu Toshogu Shrine, and follow the Shiosai Path to Mt. Takatsushi.
Mt.Takatsushi used to have a quiet observatory with no tourists, so you wouldn’t believe that Shin Wakaura Amusement Park used to be there. The 360-degree view of the ocean and Wakayama City from the observation deck at the top of the mountain at 136.6 meters was exhilarating.
We walked to Tanoura Fishing Port and enjoyed the Wakaura sightseeing promenade from there.
A complete change from the bustling tourist spot of the past, there are newly built beautiful hotels and inns, and I felt the enthusiasm of the area, which is changing from the time when it was called Shin Wakanoura to the new Wakanoura.
Wakayama Castle is a symbol of Wakayama City, and there were many tourists from overseas, so it felt lively.
76% of Wakayama Prefecture’s area is forest. When it comes to sightseeing, the seaside areas of Shirahama, Kushimoto, and Katsuura are famous, but I feel that the day will come when Wakaura, which is close to Osaka, will once again be in the spotlight.
