4K Dashcam timewarp Japan drive from Shinanomachi town to Togakushi following the Shinano Shinshu-Shin Line, the prefectural route R36 in Nagano.
A beautiful clear blue day in late November, the autumn leaves are in full colour at the lower levels on the way out from Shinanomachi town, and the season is further along as the route climbs up in to Myoko-Togakushi Renzan National Park and past Togakushi Campground and Togakushi Shrine Okusha (Main Shrine) area, showing the warm golden colour of the forests of Larch trees. An amazing drive in Japan throughout the Autumn months.
This route also forms part of the Japan Alps Cycling route, indicated with the direction arrows marked on the road surface.
As well as being famous for its shrines and heritage attractions, the area offers a multitude of hiking trails, cycling, and also skiing in the winter months at Togakushi Kogen Ski Resort.
