In this video, we will visit Shinsen-en Garden, a famous historical site of Heiankyo in Kyoto, Japan. This beautiful garden, located just a short walk from the world heritage site Motorikyu Nijo Castle, is also famous for its cherry blossom viewing. Please enjoy the beautiful historical scenery where you can see traces of the Heian period.

今回は平安京の史跡として有名な「神泉苑」を訪れます。世界遺産の「元離宮二条城」から歩いてすぐ近くのこの場所は、桜の名所としても有名な美しい庭園です。平安時代の面影が見える美しい歴史の景観をお楽しみください。
ここは平安京の史跡ということで、若くてあまりお金がない時、拝観料がかからないため、秋に訪れたことがあります。池にかかる紅い橋と紅葉が印象的でした。
This is another interesting walk, I visited Nijo castle 3 times but never took a walk along the outside moat and I am sure not many foreigner visitors know about Shinsen-en garden! The garden looks like an oasis right in the city, compact but charming with the red bridge as a bright contrast to the shrine and the pond! Thank you for taking us along with your walk!
