A few weeks ago, I heard of a lady entrepreneur who despite facing physical hardships after a serious accident had given up an IT job to pursue her passion in food. Resources were limited, so she set up a small streetside stand. Extremely hardworking, Veenaโ€™s day begins at 4 in the morning when she wakes up to prepare the dosae batter, curries, thokku and kurmas that go into her delicious kari dosa. After sending her two young children to school, she arrives at her stand in JP Nagar, South Bengaluru, where customers queue up to savour her scrumptious fare that begins as low as Rs. 10 for a delightful plain dosae with spicy peanut chutney and aromatic vegetable gravy, and Rs. 30 for an egg topped version. What lends the stall its name though are the Tamil Nadu style kari dosai, chicken and my favourite, a prawn thokku topped dosae. If you love dosae, especially the non vegetarian kind, head here. And in doing so, you will also be supporting a deserving small enterprise.

Hope you enjoy this find; take care, stay safe and strong. Happy eating!
