SOME QUESTIONS UNANSWERED ON THE VIDEO ARE HERE:
🌸Yes, I am a full time English Teacher at an English School (Eikaiwa)
🌸You are not required to learn or speak Japanese (but it depends with the school/agency you’ll be applying at Bison did not require us to)
🌸NO, I CAN’T TELL YOU HOW MUCH MY SALARY IS (but definitely more than what a teacher1 in the Philippines can earn)
🌸Based on my experience, it was a long process, you need to be patient. There’s initial interview, initial demo, final interview, lesson demo, workshop, song demo, demo feedback.
🌸Yes, you will need to plan your own lesson demo.
🌸Expect that there would be A LOT of applicants. We were 120 (?).
🌸You need to be at least a Bachelor’s Degree holder
🌸My application took 4 months. I started September 2018 and I found out I was hired January 2019. But it’s a case to case basis. It’s not the same for everyone. There were some who waited a year.
🌸Bison took care of our requirements (Visa and all that). They were the one who processed it.

THX for this video! I've read from some ALT's from Bison that it took them about 11mon to finally fly to Japan. How about you Ma'am? Can you give us an idea how many months did it take you, overall, from day 1's application? Moreover, I'd watched another ALT from Bison, she was assigned in Fukushima. (I'm honestly scared of only 3 specific cities there, I think you may know why. LOL) How about you Ma'am? Would appreciate if you could enlighten if Bison is actively placing their ALTs on the latter, Iwate & Miyagi?
