  1. Just a hint–if you set the timer on your phone for the amount of time you have in the port, it removes some of the worry about ship time vs. island time. Also, simply plan to be back 75 minutes before "all aboard" time. If you messed up the times, you are still 15 minutes early.

  2. Actually, the ship does not have to wait if you are on one of their tours. We heard a story about a tour in Alaska that was going to be horribly late. The ship had to leave due to tides or weather conditions, don't remember which. The cruise ship put them up for the night in a hotel and then somehow got them to the next port.

  3. I wonder how many “boats” in life these people have missed! My dad believed that some people were just born late and were late for everything the rest of their lives.

  4. I witnessed this once on a cruise, they kept calling this couples names over the PA thinking they might be on the ship, then as the motors fired up, I saw the couple running down the dock, they were lucky and made it just in time

  5. Hate crime it was a hate crime all of their victims were white . They were targeting white men . That by definition makes this a hate crime they need to serve life in prison . At some point White America has to stop letting themselves be targeted for these violent anti-white criminals who are killing them everyday ! If this is not prosecuted as a hate crime there's something wrong with our justice system in the United States because believe me if it had been white teenagers targeting black men they would be charged with an enhanced charge of a hate-crime violation we have a two-tiered justice system 1for white people and then one for people of color . This is not a quality this is special privileges for special people .

  6. On any tour, everyone has only one thing they have to do, Be On Time. It's easy. Anyone can do it. Don't be a selfish idiot.

  7. The thing is….if it was the Captain running for the ship they wouldn't be such smartarses

  8. I was taught to never be late….it drives my wife crazy sometimes….but I’m always looking to be 15 min. to a half hour early for appointments, dinners, party’s, etc. if I show early. And things aren’t ready for people yet, I ask if there is anything I can do to help prep., etc. I hate being late for anything because I think other people’s time is as valuable as mine. Sometimes, when early for doctors or dentist appointments, I get in right away..and then get out earlier than expected…so it actually gives me a bit of extra time to do something else. My dad was a Navy sailor, and Great Lakes sailor…so the clock was king..and he pushed us all of the time to be on time.

  9. I think these vids are hilarious. Since we all have cell phones, there is no excuse for being late. My favorite of these is the passengers on the ship.

  10. I've been on a lot of cruises and on every cruise, at one port or another, there are pier runners. It's hilarious seeing them run as 2,000ppl wave goodbye… lol
The only time I recall a ship waiting was when 2 organised bus tours were delayed due to a motor vehicle accident and they were unavoidably caught in the traffic.

  11. Thank you for showing us that those people who chronically keep us waiting sometimes reap the results of their incosideration of others.

  12. Hilarious.
I only took one cruise and was back at port early. I went to the Yucatan and was mad because they were trying to scam me and asked if I wanted to see a donkey show. I was so early to the port I did not want to even be on that land longer than necessary.

  13. The first cruise I went on, I saw myself doing this. The running part was fine; it was the crazy Gibralton taxi driver who was nuts and treated the drive like an action movie.

He knew which ship I needed because, at the time, it was the biggest ship in the world, and the word had spread that we were docked. He told me to hold on, and he then went into full F1 driving mode. At times, we mounted pavements, and he sounded his horn to shift people. But the really fun part was when we got close to the port gates, he said something like, "Hold your boarding pass against the window so they can see, I don't want them shooting at me thinking I am a suicide driver" That gives you an indication of how he was driving.

After all that, we passed the gate, and he dropped me close enough that I could run and make it. I got up the plank and said to the men there "Bet I am the last." They just waved me off and said, "No, no," and then started to close the door just as the speaks rang out with "The last person is back onboard, and we will be departing soon." lol

Oh, and I did tip the driver well.

  14. The main reason i don't cruise is that worry about how long it might take to get back, It isn't worth the hassle, and you have thousands of people piling out and rushing to get back, no thanks.

  15. People who won't pay attention to time. Don't care about anyone else's version of time.

  16. I was with a group who was late from an excursion, but it was a paid excursion booked thru the cruise, so, we were able to get on the ship.

  17. Oh don’t even get me started on late people . People who are habitually late are so rude self absorbed people.

  18. I have absolutely no sympathy for these idiots. In the Navy it's called missing movement and you go to court martial.

  19. I used to work on a cruise terminal. The funniest incident was when a woman turned up to board the ship as it was departing. She demanded that we, Security, contact the ship and have them return to collect her. She refused to leave the terminal until someone from the cruise line took her away to placate her. Her only option at this point was to meet the cruise ship at its first ( and next) port of call. All at her own expense.

  20. So happy watching this, thank you. Those who got left behind probably felt entitled.

  21. Ahh. Yes, lets inconvenience 3000 other people because we are special.
I work around ships, docking and sailing them. Heres the thing, a pilot must be arranged, line handlers, tugs and dock crew. The dock must be paid, the custom agents and lock docking fees. This can run thousands and thousands of dollars. For example 5 mins over sailing time can cost an extra $500 for the tug standby time. That makes them late for their next job. The next cruise ship also must be slowed down. The pilots need to be paid for extra time, same with the line handlers. They get paid for each job, not for a full work day. And so on with everything and everyone else

  22. The kids that sailed off without their parents were probably laughing and cheering at their good luck!
