Come join us on this night walking tour as we explore the streets of Kabukicho – Tokyo’s entertainment district located in the Shinjuku ward.

Kabukicho is known for its colourful neon lights, iconic godzilla head, girls bar, nightclubs, hostess clubs, massage parlors, love hotels, izakayas, pachinko parlours, cinemas, themed cafes, karaoke bars and much more.

Kabukicho is a place where visitors can experience the energetic and eclectic side of Tokyo’s nightlife and entertainment culture. Not all of Kabukicho is a red light district or a dangerous place to visit, you can just go for a walk to soak in the vibe, simply eat your favorite japanese food at an izakaya or themed cafe, sing at karaoke bars, watch movies at Toho cinemas or go to a popular nightclub.

There are some nearby spots worth checking out such as Tokyu Kabukicho tower which is an entertainment complex and since Kabukicho is near Shinjuku station, you can head over to Omoide Yokocho or Golden Gai if you want to dine and drink.

Kabukicho has gained a reputation for not being a safe place to visit for foreigners at night, so it is better to have some situational awareness, respect local crowd and avoid getting lured into establishments. Infact, most of the places in tokyo are safe to visit at night for tourists and female solo travellers.
