Solo Travel From Tokyo to Kyoto on the Shinkansen: Mount Fuji, Kyoto Station, and a Convenient Hotel

After 6 nights in Tokyo, I left the largest city in the world for the most historic city in Japan. On the way I wanted to catch a glimpse of Mount Fuji and try out ‘Ekiben’. On arrival, I really wanted to visit a hidden gem in Kyoto Station I have heard so much about. Then off to check into the Daiwa Roynet Hotel about a 5 minute walk from the station.
