Hey guys, I am at the Koh Ker Pyramid in Cambodia, and today we are going to look at a mysterious stone technology called Knobs. You see this protrusion here, this is very fascinating to see. Why does it have a projection like a door knob? If you look at the neighboring blocks, they don’t have this protrusion, but this block does. What is the purpose of this knob, why was it created more than a 1000 years ago?
Perhaps you may think this is just an exception. So when I explore this level of the pyramid, this is not the ground level, I am walking on one of the steps of this stepped pyramid, again look at this block. See that block which has a plant growing on top of it, that is the block which has a knob.
It clearly has a protrusion, a bump facing outside. Why were these created, what is the purpose of them?
Let me show you another Temple in India, this is the famous Brihadeeswarar Temple in Thanjavur. This is also built around the same time as the Koh Ker Pyramid, this is also at least a thousand years old, this is also a Shiva temple, and this is also a Pyramid, some fascinating coincidences, even though both of them are separated by about 3000 miles. But perhaps the biggest coincidence is their giant lingams, the lingam at Thanjavur temple is 13 feet tall from the ground, and it also goes underground for many feet, and remember I talked about the Giant Crystal Lingam which existed in Koh Ker Pyramid. But let us go back to the mystery of knobs. We are able to see knobs in this temple as well.
I shot this in 2013, because it has some very very intriguing details. This is all solid granite, huge blocks perfectly fit together, you cannot even insert a needle between the blocks, they look as though they are molded and assembled. But look at the knobs. I noticed something strange about how they were set up.
If the walls have no carvings or inscriptions, then we can see a lot of knobs. Here, look, you can see a cluster of knobs on these walls. The entire wall is full of blocks with knobs. But if the wall was designated to have carvings or inscriptions, then there are no knobs at all. They are perfectly smooth. The more I observe this, the more I find this to be true.
Another fascinating detail, look at this wall. No knobs at the eye level, but the stones with knobs are used where people would not normally see them. It appears that the stone blocks with knobs were used in unimportant places, as though they are defective pieces from a mass manufacturing company. What do I mean by this? Today, let us say you want to build a nice big house and you mass produce 50,000 bricks and you end up with about 500 bricks which are deformed or defective, what would you do? You don’t want to throw away 500 bricks, so you would use them in unimportant places or in places where they won’t be seen. This is exactly what we see in this temple.
The blocks with knobs are used in Unimportant or places where they won’t be noticed. And you may think, wow that’s a lot of knobs, but the stone blocks with knobs just make up 1 or 2% of the temple. And these knobs are not only found in Cambodia and India, they are found in Egypt, Peru, Turkey and in almost all ancient megalithic sites.
You can see these knobs in any ancient site, even though the purpose of this has been a mystery, until now.
Mainstream archeology gives a strange answer to this, experts say these knobs were cut, while the stones were quarried. Why? So they could put ropes underneath the stones and lift them. But when we carefully observe the position of the knobs, many of them are not symmetrical, if you take this stone for example, and put a rope underneath these knobs, the stone would tip forward or to the side. Many of the knobs are not symmetrical and it would be impossible to use them for putting ropes underneath and lifting them.

I agree. The knobs are defects. If they used a type of geopolymer concrete and placed the substance into bags, like sand bags, and stacked a row until it hardened… if one of the bags had a defect, or it leaked or bulged while drying… that would create a knob defect. It is obviously a type of geopolymer or rock melting technique. However, if you want to solve the "knob" dilemma you have to figure out what mold they used to hold the substance. Looks like a sag or bag to me!
Wow, that makes so much more sense to me than what the so-called mainstream historians and archaeologists are trying to feed us…..😮
some facts:
1) the rocks were melted into form
2) the knobs are remains of the thick lava flowing out of the form, when they were overpouring. think of a valve they opened. like a little door in a forming tool/wall
3) above explains the precision of the stones as well as logistics.
4) by the use of sun lenses they were able to pour granite lava into an individual form stone by stone

Initially the idea sounds absurd and people get defensive because all they ever knew is that rock is hard. But I wouldn't outright discard it. Why would the ancient people shape blocks into crazy non-uniform shapes unless it was actually easier for them to do it that way? If the stone could be made at least partially malleable it would not only explain the block non-uniformity but also the nearly perfect fit. There might be other plausible explanations but this idea deserves proper investigation. Also good point regarding plants but it might not be just a matter of softness, maybe the ingredient itself promotes plant growth.
👍👍👏👏❤
And the stone block come from the quarry , sorryb
Sulfer burns at 2000F white sulfer in pur concentrate you could turn quarry stone semi molten and maluable into castings and shaping boxes like elephante island it won't fuse if it's molten at the right temperature granite boxes where the forum moulds
The knows prevent the hoist chains from lifting multiple heavy blocks at once that's why they're in not specific areas your not looking at it upside down the inverted weight faces tords the earth for structural stability knobs where anti chain slips for fast assembly of buildings
Plant acid granite box moulds or sulfer or light refraction melting diffrent cultures used diffrent types of technology for specific diffrent material types 15.000 years ago they where able to add metal to geopolymer liquid stones so they could lift them with magnets
sir, india is a miracle
sir, meanings of these knob or small imperfection is to show that only god is perfect. it is symbolic. they mean they create a perfect building but they don't offend the god claiming they are perfect creators
A lot of megalithic stone blocks with knobs from around the world have been studied and no evidence of melting has been found. These rocks seem to have been carved using interesting technology such as circular saws and tube drills which there is evidence of at the Great Pyramid. There is evidence at the unfinished obelisk at Aswan of what looks like scoop marks in solid bedrock, so softening of some sort may be possible. It’s still a bit of a mystery.
You are totally right. Thanks for your work.
Why if the knobs are language like de ones blind people use for reading and writing?
the knobs are to impose a fault as seen by the viewer. the same as why cats have their tails cut or broken in Indonesia. The areas on the walls where the god and deities are visually flat and 'nice' so the carving 'pops'. the other bland areas of walls are purposefully made imperfect so they do not take away from the important areas.
Just my two pennyworth, I would’ve thought that if the stones were moulded then they would be much more regular in size. The lengths and widths would be very similar. It just doesn’t make sense to me if you were moulding them to have such a wide variation of size blocks.

I agree with others that the knobs are remnants of pouring sprues.
So why they quarried them by cutting them first?! Wasn't easier to break them them powdered them then bring them to the construction site?!
There are thousands of them in Cuzco, PERU
It would be easier if the blocks were formed in place. Casting them in a mold and then moving them would be much harder and would not allow for tight joints like forming in place would. The knobs look like relief areas to me. As if they poured too much material, they cut a small opening or two in the sack and let some material pour out.
Another fascinating observation. Praveen ji, if the boulders were cast, why not make them all of a standard size, making construction easier.
Secondly, if such rocks were artificially made, there must be evidence of gigantic moulds and furnaces.
Thirdly , if such technology existed there must be a write-up somewhere in our ancient texts.
Just thinking aloud, other readers please share your thoughts.
Keep up the great work, Praveen Mohan ji.
I believe the opposite. I think the knobs have a meaning. 😢❤
Ancient concrete
maybe those knobs were made deliberately to make the balance of the wall perfect ……….. i don't think they will use defective blocks to save money …….. we see this in electric fan blades, small knobs are created on the back of the blades to make the center of gravity perfect so that the blades won't wobble while rotating at high speeds ……… the weight distribution of these structures are so perfect that they are still standing against time n gravity ………. just a thought ……… thanks PraveenMohan ….
Greetings Mr. Mohan. I beg to differ. They had a specific purpose that we dont know simply because you can still finely chizel these knobs out – even today. So many knobs in so many culturally diverse sites cannot be a defect.
The mainstream position is quite ridiculously stupid! Anyone with any common sense would dismiss it immediately but these people are supposed to be clever?! You can either laugh or cry!
rocks can melt at temps of 600 – 1200C ……………your bbq paint is can be used up to 650C ( conservative average)………so even we can melt stone at home , although some may say they could already build a house with their burgers anyway.
Peaveen!?!? i came to the NW american coast with captain cook who died along the voyage stop in hawaii from the sail away would-be soldiers of the revolulutionary war of 1777 defectors from the uk and dutch Germany and within the diaries of the crew were tales of Dodo birds that melted stone with gizzard regurgitation for nesting of their young. altho this doesnt expjain away heavy lifting it DOES clue to some american monoliths looking melted together haphazzardly but not at all cyclopian masonry work at all idk just stating the knowns.. help me think about this. plz ❤❤❤❤❤😮🎉🎉🎉🎉
Because when they were putting the cement bag in place, they said, 'ooh, that's a little too much, let's let a little bit out.' hence, your knob.
Explain me why we casually take these ancient buildings artificially made and not able to take the building blocks artificially made?
Knobs? Left behind from injection molding right on the spot of artificial building blocks.
I think the knobs on the stones were signs of cement concrete. When workers had finished building the stone with cement concrete, their playful instinct prompted them to add a knob to the stone for fun. The modern invention of melting the stone was too impossible to be true. Now, it is 2023. In the past years many more discoveries had confirmed the fact that all the stones used in the structures are of cement concrete or geopolymer.
Excellent information… really u enhance our knowledge so much … n one can go on watching your videos … thanku 😊 n keep it up always. U are blessed by Lord Shiva Himself for sure. Regards.
The nubs, nodules, or knobs make sense if you understand that the blocks are poured composite material like concrete. Notice that all the nubs are at the BOTTOM of of the blocks, why? Because they are holes in the mold to allow out-flow to prevent voids from occuring.

There worldwide then knobs
Prav only found your channel year ago. Are lingum male fertility symbols or something else. Maybe someone in comments could enlighten me
I have commented below but wish to add that if the rocks were moulded in situ in order to acheive the tight fit that is evident then the "drop" would surely be on the upper surface would it not? I cannot see how you can mould from the side leaving the drop. Also there seems to be huge variation in the size of the drop which I would not expect from the sophistication of the build. Regarding the statement that these are somehow defective hence used where not easily seen, it would have taken seconds for them to dress each of these drops as they were building, particularly in view of the laser cutting tools they clearly posessed. I feel we are closer but not quite there yet. These do seem to be artificial rocks though, that part seems sound from wat the locals say.
thx—very nice
HI. You make the argument that the rocks with knobs occur once every several hundred rocks, but at the 4:04 mark into your video you show a wall where the majority of the stones have knobs.
Like and enjoy 👍🍀👍
Greetings from Germany 👍🍀👍
Were they installed to break the flow of rain water so that rain does not degrade the structure below or ground. See the water marks on the rocks.
Had to be for carrying them somehow maybe some knobs are hidden behind
There are a lot of forts and palaces in India, made out of perfectly shaped stone bricks. A good example is the town of chanderi..the queen's palace and surrounding buildings are entirely made of brick shaped stones. Most likely they manufactured stone bricks instead of carving them from rock. Beautiful architecture too.
