This video documents the entire journey from Amsterdam, Netherlands, to Rome, Italy with my bamboo bike!!!

Which countries did I travel through?
What did I see, who did I meet, and what did I feel as a Japanese person?
And why did I decide to embark on this journey in the first place?

If you’re interested at all, I believe you’ll enjoy this adventure.
So, let’s set off together.

  1. What an amazing journey you've had in miles and in life. It's uplifting to see how great people have been and how you didn't let those few challenges along the way get you down. Thank you for sharing it.

  2. Nice tan! And thanks for taking us along each step of the way. Love how you brought the gift of matcha to each place you visited.

  5. That was so sweet of you to share your journey and your thoughts with us. Thank you so much. It was a pleasure to watch your video. It was a lovely trip.

  6. you were in my hometownGent (Belgium) and I didn't know. I could have had the chance to enjoy a tea session with you and learn in real life about japan. oh well 🙂 . It looks that you were lucky to be there on a beautiful day. (Just like the UK, Belgium is know for the sad, rainy weather that surprises us at random the whole year round)

  7. Oh, man, that's a lot of bad luck you had in the beginning. But the video makes it look like a really cool adventure. Thanks for the video!

  9. Wow! Such a journey. So beautiful. Thank you for sharing this with us! And I also say a BIG thank you to all the folks who helped you along the way. That's a beautiful character for 'people.' We can not live without each other.

  10. Thank you so much for sharing your journey and always making the world seem like a smaller and more friendly place ❤

  11. Aki-san, I don't think you should change either. I don't have a sense of adventure like you do, but I still have depended on the kindness of strangers a lot, even taking a car ride from a stranger or sharing a taxi in many countries. I always follow my intuition and if something feels wrong, then I won't go there.

  12. Thank You so much for this inspiring video. I hope, one day I will be able to do such a tour in Japan as you did here in Europe!

  13. Thank you, I really enjoyed your video, am delighted by how well you now speak English & last but not least, how very sweet & moving…🤗👍💕🙏🏻🌷🌻

  14. Ohh no not the underwear! Glad you found some. Wasn’t expecting that story.

Your adventure is beautiful not just because it was exciting to see new places and make new friends. Also, because you took online connections and turned them into face to face conversations, meetings and friendship. We need more of these experiences in living in real life not just relying on social media for intimacy and community. Thank you matcha! 🩵
