We are leaving Osaka, Japan after staying at my parent’s place for 2 weeks. But before leaving, we had a family trip at Arima Onsen to experience one of the best onsen (hot spring) in Japan.
The next location we are visiting is Kanazawa which is a 2.5hr train ride from Osaka. Kanazawa is known for having one of the best fish and sushi in Japan. It was mind-blowing how delicious the fish were. And guess what? Even their local beef, Noto-ushi was amazing.

I want to visit Kanazawa again to enjoy the sushi. It looks so delicious. From Kanazawa, may go to Shirakawago which is also a very nice place with traditional houses.

Stayed in a similar hotel in Osaka before
｢ひゃくまんいし｣じゃなく｢ひゃくまんごく｣です。
加賀前田藩が加賀百万石の外様ながら大大名だったからです。
ノドグロは新潟から長崎まで幅広く有名です。
石川県なら河豚が水揚げ日本一ですし、川魚ですがゴリ(カジカ)が有名です。

fabulous video Ghib! i drove from kansai airport the day after i arrived, and stayed in Kanazawa in june 2018 but i only used it as a base to explore shirakawa-go and gokayama so we hardly walked around the city. we did go to Omicho market but it was after 6pm and all the stores were closed 🙁 Hope to go there again someday.

Visited Kanazawa in 2018, started driving from Osaka- Kyoto- Kanazawa- Toyama- Shirakawa- Hida- takayama- Gero onsen- then back to Singapore from Nagoya. Very memorable. Omi market is very nice for its seafood.

While Ghib is waxing poetically on the quality of the kaiten sushi, there is a sign just behind him telling people to eat silently (黙食). 🤭 My wife and I enjoyed our trip to Kanazawa and some hot springs nearby. There's plenty to enjoy in Kanazawa with the local seafood being one of those things.
I start wondering about the possibility of Ghib Makan Tour Package ~

I love nodoguro. Kanazawa was the only place where I’ve had it. Would love to go back when the borders open.

If you think that is good, don't go to Otaru in Hokkaido. You'll be spoiled for sushi forever.
