Another Thursday with subtitles in this Free Walking Tour of Naples. Don’t worry, I’ll post another video with talking on Monday. I’m trying an experiment and since Naples has so much amazing history and architecture, I thought it would make a great walk for subtitles. With subtitles and closed captioning, I can add a lot more info with a lot more confidence. Just click the CC button on the player. Let me know what you think in the comments section below.
Naples is the third biggest city in Italy and it feels like it. It’s also one of the oldest continually inhabited cities in Europe and it feels like that too. The closed in streets of the Old Center contrast with the Piazza del Plebiscito (a second Naples walk). The narrow streets are filled with energy and people busily going about their business as well as my fellow tourists trying to soak up the grandeur. While it has a reputation for crime and poverty, I felt safe from violence and en guard for pickpockets. That said, by the end of the day, I felt much more confident and secure. It’s a pretty amazing city with lots of alleys and nooks and crannies to explore. I hope you enjoy this Napoli free walking tour from the main train station, Napoli Centrale, through the Piazza Garibaldi, and into the Old Centro Storico. Keep on Steppin’ -H

According to the Mayo Clinic, a daily brisk walking routine can help you maintain a healthy weight and lose body fat, reduce stress and tension, improve your mood, and consequently live longer. And it doesn’t have to be hard. You can work your way up to longer and faster walks, alternate walking speeds. Just push yourself a little bit every day and you can see benefits. It’s a simple fat burning cardio exercise and workout.
Apparently, every 2000 steps walked reudces the risk of early death by 8-11%.
My Story: I’m a filmmaker by trade. In 2016, we sold our house to go traveling for the year in Europe. Since I couldn’t work there, I decided to start another Youtube Channel. I love walking as a way to explore and this was an easy thing to share. It got popular and I’ve continued. My goal is to share these treadmill travel videos to help your work out with virtual walks.

Founded by Greeks in the first millennium BC, Naples is one of the oldest continuously inhabited urban areas in the world. In the eighth century BC, a colony known as Parthenope was established on the Pizzofalcone hill. In the sixth century BC, it was refounded as Neápolis. The city was an important part of Magna Graecia, played a major role in the merging of Greek and Roman society, and was a significant cultural centre under the Romans

Happy Thanksgiving,🦃🙂
Hope to visit Napoly. I was just in the north part of Italy 😊
There's so much to ❤ about this video, so much to see and feel. Thank you! ❤
Such a beautiful and amazing place to visit and explore. Beautiful scenery. Thanks for taking us along
Thanks Henry, and Happy Thanksgiving. I liked what I saw of Naples in this video. It feels very lived in, with everything out in the open, warts and all. Obviously very different from many US cities, which seem almost sterile in comparison. I don't know if you have HBO's streaming service, but there is an excellent Maradona documentary on there that goes into a lot of detail of his time in Naples, and his connection to organized crime. Take care.
-H not as clean as U.S streets 😁
Wow! Love this video. Thank you for sharing friend. 💖

Tank you is very beautiful
Loved the walk. Missed the talk.😊
the info in the subtitles is great, but I miss the talking. do both?!
Hey Henry nice video but i have to agree with Jaime Tarne if you research first or just read from google info or a map guide that would be better. ok for people with a hearing impairment thats good. as for me i kind of struggle watching and reading at the same time and it spoils the vid fir me, its only a personnel preference your vlogs are very good and i do enjoy them.
Looking forward to this walk. I have just been talking to my neighbour who is from Naples, I will certainly tell him. Thanks Henry.
Very entertaining walk, Henry! And thanks for your tip about getting the subtitles on my TV. It worked! 😃 Had to look up "busking," but other than that I understood everything. Ha-ha!
Is it as dirty as it looks in places
I like it better when you talk
