A big thank you to @Vessi for sponsoring this video! After having a great Vietnamese meal at our local restaurant (Linh Cafe) in Vancouver, I was inspired to try some more authentic dishes. And what better way to find great authentic dishes and at its origin, in Vietnam! Let’s make a trip to Vietnam, with our first stop in Hanoi to experience the rich culture, the friendly people, and of course the great food!
And as luck would have it, I found a great Vietnamese buffet serving up a little bit of Vietnamese dishes, a little bit of French dishes, and a lot of seafood. Arriving a few days a head of my friend, I got a chance to meet some great people in the city. From Camellia who’s part of a volunteer organization called @HanoikidsVoluntaryEnglishClub that offers guided culture and culinary tours in Hanoi, to Laurence who’s a fellow traveller from Singapore, it was a great opportunity to see new faces and make new friends.
I even managed (although it wasn’t difficult) to convince Laurence to join me for dinner! And did we have a feast! From the grilled shellfish and crustaceans that include oysters, mantis shrimp and all types of clams imaginable, to the tradition Vietnamese comfort foods, it was an experience in variety and quality.. Oh, did I mention the French and Japanese dishes as well? The French style cravery with roast of beef and lamb and the Japanese station offer sushi and sashimi of tuna, salmon and something called cá trích which I’m still trying to figure out what it is… all I know, is that it’s good!
Oh, and the desserts…ah, the desserts! There were plenty as long as you have the room for it, or willing to make room. A fantastic experience all around with good food and new friends. Thank you for joining me on this adventure!

Awesome! I was always wondering if you could do a travel video with your flight experience and hotel breakfast buffets! Really enjoy your videos 😁
🎵…Lawrence is a paedo…Lawrence is a paedo…nah naah nah nah…nah nah naah nah…🎵
Thank you Mr. Lee for another video food experience! 😃👀
You should have reviewed the hotel you were staying at too.
Ah @ 19:55 your perfect "mi fun" accent tell me you are Cantonese speaker like myself.
That yellow sashimi is cá trích ép trứng in Vietnam or pressed herring fish meat with eggs
22:40 Did Lawrence say "clean your phone"?
you are supposed to eat the perilla leaves with the sushi.
those are pippi shrimps, not langoustine. langoustines are spiny lobsters.
Thanks Tim but I didn't buy my phone to listen to all your commercials.
The sashimi u ate in yellow color is called 希靈魚
Those are mantis shrimp.
Looks delicious
I stumbled upon your channel and I already loved the very first video I am watching. Thank you for sharing and you make great videos. I like the narrative a lot. Thank you!

Thank you Tim for all you fantastic travel vlog..👍👍👍
Vietnam is a beautiful country. Good food and amazing people ❤
There are three restaurants in Hanoi, where is this restaurant located please.
I started to travel for foods because of you and mark Weins in 2019 and now seeing you visiting Vietnam and still eating in American buffet is heartbreaking man….
Yummy 😋
I guess there's no dress code… A ninety nine cents t shirt 👕 will do it..
I'll definitely check this buffet out next time in Hanoi. The vietnamese people are so nice and friendly.
Love veitnam
wow.. can't beat $17.00 .. nice!
Tim I was just here!! Excellent choice and thanks for recommending it. Best value buffet I have enjoyed so far! This was my second attempt because on weekends you need a reservation. They musta gotten busy since your video dropped!
We eat here often, it's not bad for the price.
No Doubt Vietnam is beautiful but living and working here is Awful. Employers in Vientam are unreasonable and Vicious.
The one's you said were langoustines are actually sea mantis. Also you should visit San Sebastian Spain one day and try the different Pintxos. I was there last year and they have one of the best foods I've ever tasted. Right up there with Japanese and French cuisine.
I'm in awe of the tranquil beauty of Hanoi's West Lake. https://youtu.be/U4iNMLOWH_w
I'm surprised that with your incredible manners, that you don't say 'please' when asking for something. You say: "Can I have one of those?" "Can I have some fish?" "Can I have one as well?" "Can I get a piece?" Etc. Why don't you say 'please', Tim? 🤔
"very clear yet colorful" (???) LOL
You dont seem to eat half of what you take. What a waste of food!
Those are not langostines, they are mantis shrimp.
"Giant shell of some sort" That is the Pen shells Tim.
Really enjoy your entire Hanoi buffet food series. If you don't mind. Where did you stay or have any hotel recommendations . Thank you.
Great value for $17. Those stairs give you a work out. I wonder how many times someone has tripped and spilled all the food. Thank you for taking me to Vietnam via your video.
I think swordfish? Or another type of tuna?
I'd eat the hot first – THEN the cold – but that's just me!
Bless – I pull all that middle shit out of the blue swimmer crab myself – leave the meat on the legs etc – hate that inner rubbish – ruins the crab! x
Have you ever had food poisoning?
Ɓubble tea is for the toddlers
Languishing is the Las craturein the ocean to eat when everything has been caught
I don’t know how you can eat all the food, where you go, I’d be so full , everything looks so good ,I wish it was me there to trying the seafood, 😊
