🎤 Narrative

The Ueno park is officially called the “Ueno Imperial Gift Park “ because it was a gift from Emperor Taisho to Tokyo city as a place of public recreation. The park is rich with greenery and birds during winter. This park also includes many other attractions in it. A number of famous museums like the Tokyo National Museum, the National Museum of Nature and Science and the Shitamachi Museum to name a few. The park also has a shrine to Benzaiten and Tokugawa Ieyasu’s Toshogu shrine. The Shinobazu Pond is a pretty sight with pink water lilies and a good photo spot. You can make it a trip full of photographs and also a place to calm your senses because just like other Japanese parks, this park will give you peace of mind. The best time to visit this park is in spring when the cherry blossoms or Sakura blossoms as they are called are in full bloom. The park is full of pretty shades of white and pink and the weather is perfect for picnicking. The Japanese call this “Hanami” or “Flower viewing”. It is a time of celebration and relaxation and Ueno park is central to this activity in Tokyo.

Make Ueno Park a must see part of Tokyo itinerary 5 days, it is just about 2 KM from Sensoji Temple, another historic place in Tokyo.

Wear comfortable clothing and shoes.
