  1. hmmm,… I really don't like Namba Yasaka Shrine, it looks so ugly to me and foreigners who aren't Shinto seem a little silly here (^_^) … there is another Namba Shrine in the Honmachi district which has a beautiful camphor tree which survived the Pacific War bombing … if you touch it you're supposed to get " energy " … the history museum near the castle is so much more interesting than the castle… there is a full scale partial reproduction of the Naniwa Palace, I was really impressed! … I love Sugawara no Michizane so the Tenmangu Shrine in Osaka is my most favorite !

  2. Retro and vintage mean two different things. Vintage is old games and machines that are still available. Retro are modern machines or equipment made to look old. So a vintage radio is a radio from the past. A retro radio is a modern radio made to look old. I think the gaming location is vintage rather than retro

  3. Thanks for this amazing video! I really hope to see you in Kitakyushu, Fukuoka and other Kyushu's cities for your videos. Starting from the end of september, I'll be at Kitakyushu for my master's degree. I'll have plenty of time to explore the city, but it's always good to have some advice from someone who lived in Japan for some time.

  4. Interesting video. Although I've been to Osaka, my friends and I didn't spend all that much time there. We mainly used it as overnight hotel point to visit other locals the next day. My friend and I are a bit of Jo snobs and where trying to only go to the twelve original Jo's, one of which that we never got to, has since burnt down. This was on my first trip to Japan, and I've since expanded my ideas of what one should visit. So Osaka Jo back on list to see. My friends were the drivers of our Osaka experience, and the only part I really remember is walking through Dotonbori in the evening. Everyone else in the group was excited to get and see the Glico running man sign. I didn't know who that was, or why it was important. I'd seen the image in Japan travel videos, but now know Glico is a candy maker whose products I had consumed on occasion. Next time I'm able to go to the Osaka area I intend to hire Lito to guide me around, so I see the real Osaka in a relaxed manner with a fountain of local knowledge, whose also a fun person. Thanks for showing me what I missed.

  5. Heading to Japan in Dec and spending a few days in Osaka. We'll definitely check out these sites. Thanks!

  8. I hope you finally see Osaka for the beautiful place that it is. I have been to Osaka so much and still haven’t even scratched the surface of what is to see. The people are what makes that city fantastic ❤. I dont understand why people only use it as a stop over to visit Nara and Kyoto because it has so much more to offer
