  1. My only criticism about some of this review is if you intend to review the items themselves… adding other ingredients like eggs and putting hot oil on top kinda defeats the purpose of the original product. This feels as much a review of your Hot Oil on various dishes than anything else.

  2. 12:18 Every young person has done this before. "Oh shoot!" Also, next step is to invite local chefs to do a cook-off and integrate Smala into their dishes (Smala Gelato??).

  3. I love TJ but I’m still offended by how they use racist names for their food like how they package it as “mings” food for all the chinese products. Like why is that necessary? And same goes for the other ethnic foods

  4. Will you do a "will it Smala" video where you think up a number of foods that you think would pair very well with the sauce and have two friends try them and tell you which ones hit and which ones miss? One friend should have a preference for adding sauces of all kinds to all kinds of foods, where the other friend sometimes does and sometimes doesn't like extra sauce. Have them try the Smala on any of these foods, for instance:
    ~ gyro
    ~ philly cheesesteak
    ~ avocado toast
~ oven-roasted wings (carnivore or vegan version)
~ some kind of pizza (ominivore or vegan-friendly)
~ some kind of bbq dish (ribs or sloppy Joe sandwich)
~ cold tofu (with scallions, pork sung, soy sauce, sesame seed oil — salty duck egg and thousand year old egg are optional)
    ~ papaya salad
    ~ all the Vietnamese food
~ cold buckwheat noodles (Korean or Japanese style)
    ~ Korean seafood pancake
~ various meat kebabs from Mediterranean cuisines
    ~ a variety of samosas
    ~ paella (pescatarian or vegan-friendly)
    ~ roasted corn
    ~ cheesy fries

  5. TJ's Kung Pao chicken that you cook in a skillet is pretty good too. Too bad it wasn't included in this video.

  6. Andrew with the pan-flip! Very impressive. I would love to see a review of all the canned seafoods at TJ’s (sardines, oysters, salmon, mackerel et al).

  7. Nice to see CupofTJ in the side clip at the beginning of video for Taiwanese Pancake.

  8. I think the orange chicken would be better if you took it out of the plastic bowl and heated it up in a skillet. Things with breading on them get too soggy in the microwave.

  9. I'd love to see a review of all the frozen meals you can buy there esp the vegetarian ones.. I tried a few and they weren't great. I feel like trader joe's is a lot more mid than I had thought when I first tried the one thing I love the most there.. the cheese & green chili tamales which are sooo good like the only thing I miss about not having one near me

  10. The food company is perfectly located in the great asian multi ethnic state of California !

  11. The pork dumpling is so good! I always have a box or 2 in the freezer at all times. When I first tried it, I was pleasantly surprised how good they tasted. The honey walnut shrimp does not come close to the restaurant version – Lol. It's my favorite dish at the restaurants ever since I was child. Not seen the sauce ever that runny as TJ's – Lol. I trust you said it's pretty good. Thanks for all the reviews : ) Can't wait to try the Smala!

  12. I love the chicken wontons and the pork dumplings from Trader Joe's. It doesn't matter if it's not authentic… it hits the spot deep in my soul.

  13. Most, if not all, of TJ's ethnic foods are made in their respective countries. The green onion pancake is made in Taiwan. It actually even uses coconut oil – which is a better cooking oil than what I'd expect from frozen food. And yes on the xiao long baos – my coworker used to eat it daily and it eventually piqued my interest so I got some. It's really good and very surprising coming from TJs and being frozen. I always have a bag of frozen gyoza from TJs, it's a fast and available item for those times I don't know what to eat.

  14. Great review for all foods. Trader Joe's chicken soup dumpling $3.49 is ways over priced . You could get it from Costco 6 packages for $12. Regular price. Some time on sale $10.50 for 6 packages. So you really pay less than $2. For 1 package. Thank you for sharing. 🤗🤗😋😋🥰🥰.

  15. Chicken with edamame and shiitake mushroom was really good also, idk if that's Chinese tho

  16. $2.50, for FIVE danbings??? Are you serious?? It's not even that price in asia!!! GET IT!!!
