Hi Derek and Catherine! Love this Japanese resteraunt! Alot of little dishes! All the steak looks delicious, the chicken quite spicy Derek!! the cucumber salad, uzo avocado salad all delicious. Did you taste kimchi? Love to cook my own meat it's so thin so you can't mess it up.
I went there before and I made the mistake of keeping the heat too high. It makes the meat too tough for my liking. I was really missing the sesame oil/salt n pepper sauce from kbbq that goes well with unmarinated meat. Service was great though. I would probably go back a 2nd time to give it another shot.

You should give the beef tongue a chance it would really surprise you guys. I tried it in Texas, a friend kind of tricked me. I loved it so much I ate the entire thing. It was very tender and flavorful.

If you like Japanese BBQ, go to Anjin in Costa Mesa. It's not AYCE, but the quality is great. Small place so come early and expect to wait.
