Experience a unfiltered glimpse of Sakurajima’s Tsukiyomi Shrine during a (very) rainy day photography trip in early June.
Footage was taken June 10th, 2023. About a week into my month long Japan trip. Heavy rainfall on the day I arrived in Kagoshima. After checking into my guest house, walked to the docks and boarded a ferry to the island.
Briefly explored around the docks and Tsukiyomi shrine. The rain got heavier, leaving both equipment and myself soaked. Had to call it quits and departed.
Despite the rain, the experience was positive.
This journey guides viewers through the tranquil pathways of the shrine as I attempt to capture its pristine beauty through the lens.
