In Dublin they sell Scotland tartan scarfs with made in ireland label on them ..In Scotland they sell Scotland tartan scarfs with all names of the clans upon every scarf and made in Scotland they are . Basically the irish are selling Scotland scarfs with made in Ireland labels on as i and a guy from Aberdeen both said to guy in store serving them are Irish scarfs he just smiled and said Yes we always have sold Scottish scarfs always done then he walked away .

Hi!, planning my first of hopefully many visits to Ireland! I would like to spend a couple days in the west in a small place … are Air BnB's common?
Do not go to Tallagh for sight seeing
Sounds like the California bay area.
Having seriously failed at waiting tables I appreciate the work serving people do , do tips ? Of course ?
I've been to Ireland once, about 10 years ago, it was in the November and it was absolutely beautiful. The people were so friendly and warm. As a Welshman, it felt a little bit like home from home, but even friendlier. I can honestly say, I would visit Ireland before anywhere else I've been in a heartbeat.
Loving how equal irish and german people are in compare ๐ Like this saying. Maybe i'll look it up even a fourth or fifth time ๐ Altough loving accents. Thx for the video
Good tips. But why would you mention most expensive bank (AIB) and not Bank of Ireland or Permanent TSB?
I am in Ireland for more than 10 years but I would never do the following – neither are my Irish friends doing it!
1) Say no when asked for a cup of tea or coffee and expect to get one
2) Stay for 3 or more rounds in a pub or a restaurant
Tipping is some kind of American thing imported from there.
Terrible place to visit.
Im NOT gonna say thank u everytime i come off a bus and i will ask an irish person about his opinion on his homelands history if i feel like it. Even if u think he is biased it is still his valid opinion and who are u to judge it maam? It is absurd and stupid to tell ppl they should do this and not that. I behave like myself wherever i am common courtesy is not that hard to comprehend. And those rules u are creating are NOT ones of them
This video is absolutely feckin' brilliant, so it is. As an American transplant who moved here several months ago with my Irish wife, I can tell you that Laura Grace has covered pretty much everything one needs to know to be properly introduced to Ireland. She doesn't leave out a thing–even the bit about the lack of outlets in the bathrooms! And I agree about people being generally very polite. One thing about accents–there are lots of different ones, some of which will be easier for Americans to understand than others, so please listen carefully when people are talking to you. I agree also about the paucity of transit in remote areas; however, I recently traveled from my small town in Co. Louth to Cork via Dublin using buses and trains and it was fine. But yes, if you're going to do a lot of driving, get a transponder for the M1 and M50! Also, the major cities have bicycles for rent–you can get a "TFI Card" which enables you to use the bike for as long as you need it, then you just put it back when you're done. Anyway–thank you, Laura Grace, for a most enjoyable and informative video!
Just found you Laura ๐โฆ.painting sea rocks and now I just want to drink Guinness/Bushmills Whiskey whilst listening to your craic โฆlove from Portstewart the top North of Ireland โค
Thank you for this, you're lovely! I'm planning a lifelong-wish trip to Ireland to see the land of my ancestors, and this is all very good information. Best to you!
Part of my family came from Ireland in the 1850s on up to the 1880's; much of Irish slang was passed down to my grandparents, some to my parents, but rarely do I hear any of it in my or later generations. I'm 65 and happily surprised to hear Irish slang now in the U.S. & I still understand it & sometimes it comes out of my mouth & I don't even notice it. Loved your video!
I know lots of Irish people in Canada few of them my good friends
Thank You so much for the video, I'm half Irish, and I really want to visit, Dublin and Cork where my ancestors came from.
I'm ready to have a grand time.
Don't try to talk with a fake Irish accent and do NOT try to claim your Irish if you are a Yank, nothing pisses us off more than Plastic Paddies.
I noticed how much we swear when i was in Spain a few years ago. Its bad ๐ฌ
Ireland is the best country in the WORLD! True story!
Northern Irish pounds CAN be spent in the rest of the UK, some places in England and Wales are just funny about it because they don't see these notes very often.
Thanks Laura! You're grand
Very good informative guide. Living here, I can recognise all of your tips. I was glad that you mentioned not to only visit Dublin. There are so many great places in the rest of Ireland and living in Limerick, I would say not to ignore the third city. So many only visit Dublin, Cork, Kerry, Galway, Clare and Donegal and bypass Limerick. Limerick has some amazing sights like King Johns Castle, The Hunt Museum and the Shannon to name just a few. It is also well placed on the West Coast for seeing many other locations. Also great for watching hurling ๐. One final thing is that Ireland has some truly incredible beaches!
Im so glad you explained the way to walk on country roads You should be able to look into the drivers eyes and be on the corresponding side ๐ literally saves lives.
15ยฐ and blistering sunshine ๐คจ๐ *confused Australian noises*
Iโm from Newfoundland Canada and have been to Ireland a few times. Loved it there, There dialect and sayings are very much like ours so I fit right in. Lol
which counties are still irish? id like to visit before the whole island is replaced with 3rd world migrants
Hi Laura.. Great wee video.. Well spoken thank you
As an Irish Canadian the biggest thin on my bucket list is to visit Ireland. I told my wife i want to visit and go to every pub so that way i wouldn't have to leave. I'm sure that Canadians and the Irish have a lot in common and want to see that for myself. To me it would be like coming home. I really want to visit County Cork i hear its really nice there and i hear its where my ancestors are from. You gave me a lot of information and thank you even though a lot i already know like the UK part of it. My blood is Irish
I am Irish but I love our dry humour. I once asked an old guy directions and asked him if I was on the best road to Ashbourne his reply still gives me a laugh. HE SAID THAT IT WAS IF YOU ARE STARTING FROM HERE and worth mentioning that I wouldnโt take offence if anyone wishes me A TOP OF THE MORNING I will be delighted if they take the trouble to give me any kind of friendly acknowledgment. WELCOME ALL.
This was an adorable video! Thanks so much for taking the time to share these valuable tips about your lovely country!!
