In Mousesteps Weekly #350, we talk about the following topics:
We went to Disney Springs on the day it reopened, and share a tour around while talking about the experience as well as other openings happening in the area. About 25% of Disney Springs was open on this day, and more is opening each day with some Disney locations opening on May 27th, 2020.
We then take a look back at Nara Dreamland in Tokyo from 2000. Nara Dreamland was modeled after Disneyland in Anaheim, CA and there are many elements that are very similar. The Nara Dreamland videos we are sharing include Dave and Carole Mumford, Dave was an Imagineer who was working at Tokyo Disney Sea.
Recorded 05/22/20 Featuring Commentary from Denise Preskitt and Jeff Lange.

Wow, that’s about a kajillion more people than I thought would be there.
Is this in Anaheim Disneyland
Touching things and walking too close to people not good 6in apart wear gloves wear mask if you want to give a hug do a air hug with two hands across your chest that's the best thing to do but do not touch people or anyting thing like anything at all if you have gloves on. The best thing to do because covid-19 when you leave the park get a rid of your class right away and put on new gloves I'm telling you this as a friend because I love people and I don't want anyone to get sick when I was going to the store my counselor told me not to touch anything just get what I need and leave now I'm telling you that as a friend God bless and many blessings stay safe stay healthy and God bless again and many blessings your friend and always Theresa Peters from Whittier
Oooh?
Originally I said that I am waiting until it's 100% safe to return before I go back to any parks or anything for that matter (and I still am) but I suppose I'd feel safe enough to go back there at some point that they stop forcing us to wear masks. I think by then that it should be safe enough to not worry about catching the disease when walking around. Also, I really hate wearing masks.
Have you seen if neck gaiters (the “buffs” as seen on the TV show survivor) are acceptable or not? Disney springs says the face mask must be tied or have ear loops. A Neck gaiter has neither but is very secure and is what I normally would wear when out to the beach or boating all day to stay safe from the sun.
I dont think I would be goung still. I am nit confident the US has it under control yet . But it seems the Orange one wants eveything open at any cost.
It's great that other parks like Universal and Legoland are reopening soon even though the virus isn't gone.
