Mmm budget food
I love a ranchi setto 😅
um,…. especially compared to food prices in USA, Japan is incredibly cheap so I don't think there are any ' secrets ' (^_^) …. fun tip, Tanabeso restaurant in Kyoto,… they specialize in tsukemono but, even though it's Kyoto, the salt water fish is incredibly good.
2:38 I like how the English menu includes tax vs the Japanese menu which has the "before tax" prices 😅
I first experienced Japanese budget dining in Sogo Department Store in Taipei. Their stores have Teppanyaki style fast food restaurants. They were other options, but once I saw the Teppanyaki grill I was eating there. Food was excellent, quickly prepared and inexpensive for dinner. Same in Japan. If it was dinner time and I was near a Sogo, that's were I ate. I could eat there every day happily. Never tried lunch because we weren't near a Sogo, but I remember they had signs for set meals. This style of meal is usually expensive in North America, because they add a show element. I don't need the show, and food is just as good.
👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Save your stomach for the LUNCH MENU! Drinks for after dark! Nice!
Thanks for the information. It will be coffee and something from the bakery and then lunch for us in Oct. What time is lunch in Japan.
Looks so yommeh ~ 🤤
I thought all the restaurants in Japan were expensive , but know i know. Thank you for sharing😁
All look so delicious and can’t wait to get back there ♥️
I like them all, I will keep an eye out more next time, seems to be common 😋
Hi if you don’t want the drink menu options can you just order water or s that considered rude?
McD bringing back the Tsukimi menu has never made me so excited for McDonalds in my life. It was some of the best fast food I ever had. I know I’m gonna sound like a n*tjob saying this but I definitely recommend a meal from the Tsukimi menu from McDonalds if you’re going to Japan from September to Mid-October. It’s nothing like in the US, rest assured.
And yes, lunch menus are the best!! Managed to find some spots that would offer a small size meal for USD $2.50 if you know where to look.
Food is sooooooooooooooooooo cheap in Japan unlike Australia and it always amazes me when tourists say Japan is expensive….. The biggest tip to save money on food is to get away from the tourist areas…. just by leaving the tourist area you save a fortune
&()——()——&——)((((What Japan discharges is nuclear leakage polluted water, or nuclear polluted water, not nuclear wastewater. Nuclear waste water is discharged in all normal operating nuclear power plants, scientific research installations, and nuclear-powered ships in the ocean. They are the pipeline cooling water of nuclear reactors, which have been treated and have not been irradiated; nuclear leakage polluted water is caused by leakage accidents After that, it is injected into the nuclear reactor, and the water that is irradiated and polluted by a large dose of nuclear fuel is equivalent to a strong radiation source. Fukushima nuclear polluted water contains more than 60 types of radionuclides, such as tritium, carbon-14, iodine-129, etc. Many of these radionuclides have no effective treatment technology, but Japan has been making "the problem is only the tritium element" misleading. At present, about 100 tons of nuclear-contaminated water is newly produced every day, and it is estimated that it will take as long as 30 years to discharge it into the ocean. After the nuclear sewage entered the sea, the seawater showed two colors. Within 57 days from the date of discharge, radioactive materials will spread to most of the Pacific Ocean. Three years later, the United States and Canada on the other side of the Pacific Ocean will be affected by nuclear pollution, and 10 years later it will spread to the global ocean.
So much food to choose from,no need to eat conbini food every day ! Love the vid
Yes, this is definitely a very good tip and one that most first time tourist ignore. The more challenging video that i would ask you to do is a budget dinner in japan!!
Such a great tip!
I will be doing this when I get to Japan in a few months. Maybe load up on food during lunch and go for a lighter diner.
Thanks for the great work Nathan! 🗾
Yummy + cheap = happiness
Thanks for the video! I just arrived Tokyo and your channel has helped me to prepare for my trip.
In this video it would be great if you could explain which areas you are visiting and eating in! Like, which are the top few areas to explore cheap eats in?
Yeah, lunch time on weekdays. Nearby here we have Maesawa, famous for beef. It's literally half the price on lunch menu. I don't get a lot of weekdays off, so it's still on my list of things I haven't done but need to do. And it's ONLY weekdays, before 3pm usually.
Would be nice to get a video how to spot vegan options while looking for place to eat. Even if it is lunch or dinner. I would really appreciate video like that – thanks and keep up the good work!
Supermarkets offer good deals after 5pm….-50%.
I Love Japan food wow soo yummy
