Day 7 is a captivating journey through the charming streets of Otaru (小樽市) and the picturesque landscapes of Furano (富良野市) in Japan. Our adventure begins with a stroll down Otaru’s bustling shopping street (小樽堺町通り商店街), famous for its confectionery shops, unique boutiques, and captivating music box museum. Along the way, we discovered the delightful world of Hello Kitty, Snoopy (SNOOPY茶屋 小樽店 グッズショップ) and Miffy-themed shops (みっふぃーおやつ堂 小樽店), each with its own distinctive character.

But our journey was not without its surprises, such as the fascinating steam clock that chimed every fifteen minutes and the delicious aroma of street food tempting our taste buds. We even stumbled upon a charming coffee shop, Kahisakan Otaru (可否茶館 小樽店), where we sought refuge from the rain, sipping warm coffee and savoring hot breakfast delights.

As we explored further, we encountered the enchanting Otaru Music Box Museum (小樽オルゴール堂 本館), a treasure trove of musical wonders that left us awestruck. The soothing melodies that filled the air and the sight of countless music boxes in various sizes made it a truly magical experience. Before we leave Otaru, we visit the renowned LeTAO (ルタオ本店), offering an array of souvenirs to commemorate our journey

Our travels also brought us to the mesmerizing Furano (富良野市) region, where we embarked on a scenic drive through crosswind-prone roads, reminding us to stay vigilant. Upon reaching our destination, the Furano Natulux Hotel, we discovered a perfect blend of comfort and convenience.

Navigating the food scene, we encountered Yuiga Doxon (唯我独尊), renowned for its delectable Japanese curry rice. Not only was the food exceptional, but the interactive experience of requesting curry refills by singing a cheerful tune was a highlight, especially for the kids. In the evening, we enjoyed Japanese cherry and Nikka Apple Wine as a delightful dessert, savoring every sip before returning home.
