  1. Hi Catherine! Iโ€™m going to Japan next week and Iโ€™ve enjoyed your vlogs so much already that my hubby jokes and says I wouldnโ€™t care if the trip was cancelled because Iโ€™ve travelled with you already โค I love your content (also your studio vlogs) and youโ€™re the sweetest most fun woman ever! Youโ€™re a ray of sunshine!

  2. Lucky me I was able to watch this video as a premiere ๐Ÿ˜ฎ Iโ€™m currently healing from my kidney donation surgery and watching your videos have brought me so much joy ๐Ÿฅน โ€ฆsometimes I got to be careful because it hurts to laugh still hehe ๐Ÿ™ƒ overall beautiful video thank you for sharing this with us ๐ŸŒธ๐ŸฆŒ๐Ÿ’–

  3. The deer are so cute but terrifying at the same time ๐Ÿ˜… another great japan vlog thank you!! โค

  4. Absolutely love the cute little deer! Iโ€™ve never seen anything like that!

  5. I'm so happy watching your videos I'm feeling better now but these videos make me feel even better

  6. Guy with the ripped bag๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚. I love the "walkaround" style, rather than a Presenter perspective. It feels like a video you'd send home to friends and Family. Deans opening up, he said at least 6 words (7 words is a great Deftones song, one more Dean๐Ÿค˜๐Ÿค˜). Before you went to Japan I didn't watch ypur videos but they're really intimate travel vlogs. A shorter video but enjoyed it loads!

  7. Hello I enjoy every moments of what you are up to while in my country! (I live in the UK at the moment) "Shitsurei Shimashita" or "Shitsurei shimasu" means "Sorry to bother you" or "Sorry to disturb you".. Train guards are usually walking through pass carriages if anyone hasn't got tickets (or extend their distance) then they can adjust the fares by selling adjustment tickets. (These days contactless cards should take care of it but some train companies like Kintetsu may still do its exercise of "conductor visit".)

  8. Absolutely loved this, the dear were adorable but a little scary at the same time ๐Ÿซฃ๐Ÿ˜ I cannot wait to see your day at universal ๐Ÿฉท xxx

  9. You really are a brilliant vlogger. The little details like the click noise when your subtitles change, or the small zooms for emphasis, and your subtle (or hilariously overt!) comedic timing – not also to mention how well you capture the vibe and beauty of the places you visit – is all so good! You are one of my top five YouTubers for sure. Thanks so much for being so thoughtful and thorough with every video you make. It really makes such a huge difference.

  10. Here in the USA we are not encouraged to feed any wildlife. It looks like those deer are overfed and I find it hard to believe that they have no dogs around to chase them off. Wild animals are unpredictable and they are generally unsafe to be in close proximity. Hope you have no close encounters with them.

  11. Shitsurei shimasu is just a polite thing to say when entering, or shitsurei shimasta when leaving. It kind of means โ€œIโ€™m intruding/Iโ€™ve been rudeโ€. At a friend or acquaintances house itโ€™s usually something I say as I come in and remove my shoes

  12. Wow, what a fantastic experience! The deer are so cute! Dean looked like Santa Claus as he walked along with all the deer trailing after him๐Ÿ˜‚.

  13. What does Shitsurei Shimashita mean in English?

"Shitsurei shimasu" literally means, "I'm going to be rude." This expression is used in various situations. When entering someone's house or room, it means "Excuse my interrupting." When leaving it is used as "Excuse my leaving" or "Good-bye."

  14. OMG they do that in the shinkansen too! I think they say, "Sorry for the intrusion"? and then they bow at you O_O I was shocked and felt undeserving of such respect T_T

  15. Your fashion and style is perfect for Japan-light, airy and bubbly! Also I think this was my favorite vlog so far because it reminds me that humans can and do coexist with other creatures in harmony. You hear and see so much bad stuff from people, but the fact that people arenโ€™t bothering them and that the deer feel so safe there makes me think this has been an ongoing thing for a while. It makes me happy.

  16. ๅคฑ็คผใ—ใพใ—ใŸ (shitsurei-shimashita) means Excuse me. A polite way of saying Sorry for the interruption.๐Ÿ˜Š

  17. Loving these so much always so fun to see you and dean living your best lives!โค
But I have to ask! Whats your bag youโ€™re using for Japan right now! I am looking for an everyday bag for my trip!๐ŸŽ‰

  18. The conductor is probably saying ๅคฑ็คผใ—ใพใ™ (Shitsureishimasu) or ๅคฑ็คผใ—ใพใ—ใŸ (shitsureishimashita) which are just formal ways of saying excuse me.

  19. I just wanted to say hiya ๐Ÿ˜€ and that I'm loving the Japan vlog series so far. your videos are always so comforting, cosy and beautifully put together ๐Ÿ™‚ the deer are so adorable, its like something from a Disney princess movie lol.

  20. I be googling flights to Osaka halfway through watching these for real!! ๐Ÿ˜ญ๐Ÿคฃ I wanna get swarmed by the deer hahaha Also, 24:08 made me laugh so much, it's like they ran out of prizes and were just like, here have some bags instead! ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚

  21. Your videos have just been the extra boost I need to finally go! Iโ€™ve booked my flights for January to February next year and Iโ€™m buzzing for it!

  22. Awww Catherine you are the cutest person ever! I simply adore watching all your vloggs personal and business xxx

  23. We went to Nara Park last week and the deer bit me on the bum. They donโ€™t talk about how violent those deers can be in travel videos ๐Ÿ˜‚

  25. Kasuga Taisha Shrine values Japanese deer as messengers of the gods. Kasuga Taisha is the guardian deity of the Fujiwara clan. The Fujiwara clan was a family that prospered for 1200 years as a maternal relative of the imperial family. Deer, considered to be messengers of the gods, have also been treated with great care. Genetic analysis of Nara's deer revealed that they were genetically isolated from wild Japanese deer in other regions over 1,000 years ago. The strange thing about the Fujiwara clan is that although they had close blood ties to the imperial family, they themselves did not try to replace the imperial family itself.

  26. 2:40 I think you were hearing "ใ—ใคใ‚Œใ„ใ—ใพใ™ (shitsurei shimasu)"! It's a really polite term that has a few meanings but used when leaving a room it roughly translates to "excuse me for leaving" โค
