  1. They make items like the airfly pro that lets you convert the 3.5mm from the airplane to bluetooth that you can connect to so the wireless headphones can still work!

  2. Chris, you are too nice. If the seat in front reclines too much, point the air at the top of their head, not full blast, but light breeze of cold air. When your head gradually gets cold, you get cold. Also, run your electric razor sideburn trimmer. You'd be surprised at how uneasy they get…😊
I have travel pants and belt. Khakis one size larger for comfy long-term sitting. Plastic belt won't flag TSA x-rays or metal detectors. Belt holds pants up while stading, loosen when seated, loose and comfy.
I have baboo underwear! Best ever.

  3. I could have used those tips a long time ago, even though not all of it would have been applicable back then. I unfortunately didn't fly much in my life. I only took 4 long range flights so far, both almost 20 years ago when I flew to China for an internship as a student and later flew there again to meet the parents of my girlfriend.
Both were brutal, unpleasant, even grueling experiences. Back then you didn't have screens and entertainment systems in every seat, at least not in economy class and the old Jumbo Jets really didn't provide any comfort at all.
It was cold, loud and my ears would pop over and over the whole time, 12 to 13 hours straight.

Because of that, I doubt that even first or business class flights were all that great back then. People just didn't know anything better, I suppose.

  4. A full soda can on your tray table pushed into the tray cut out against the seat back in front stops it being able to fully recline, it has to be a full can as an empty one crushes

  5. thank you for reading my comment. it was my first! i did fly air premia from SEOUL to LAX last month. pretty good considering it is LCC~ ^^

  6. I had seat A, hubby had seat C and we were hoping the middle seat was going to be empty. No such luck. Here comes this lady who didn't want to trade seats with either of us! Go figure.

  7. My favourite fellow passenger on my last flight was the mother who told her kid to stop kicking my seat. If the kid refuses to stop, ask the person sitting behind the kid to kick the kids' seat for a while. That might get the message across.

  8. B787 & A350’s should never have 10AC for long haul flights – it is torture! No more than 3 hrs in something that narrow!

  9. Very information. Thank you. There are a few economy flight practices that I live by.

I stopped wearing shorts on flights when, one time, a neighbor with hairy legs invaded my space and touched my leg. Nevermore!

I used to fly Southwest a lot and I found that, especially one a full flight, it's better not to board early. It's better to choose you neighbors and than have someone choose you.

I always wear compression socks on flights. Unfortunately they are not wool but they could save my life.

  10. The seat guru website is no longer being updated, aerolopa is now the website to go for seat maps

  11. You suggest Claritin -D, which causes insomnia in many people. A better suggestion is to utilize Afrin Nasal Spray one hour before your flight. As a physician, that is the ONLY time I recommend using products such as these as you can become dependent on these products (beware). This will also decrease ear pain m, often experienced when descending.

  12. Chris, you mentioned how it's a good idea to take the snacks when offered and then store them in your seat pocket for later. It's a small point, but it's worth noting that the seat pocket is disgusting. It's a bad idea to put food items in there. Goodness knows what you may expose yourself to by storing even packaged food in the seat pocket.

  13. ESTA is now 21$ for two years, so it is just fair to have same system for Europe, too.
And it is not about making money but have all data of people traveling. Security reasons.

  14. As much as I hate to admit it, having kids makes a long flight a little easier… why… because with some airlines you can easily book. The front row and get the legroom 🙂

  15. Hi, Chris thank you soooo much for the content!!! Leaving for Melbourne in United on Sunday I am caught in a dilemma: I am 5´4 would paying the upgrade to economy plus for the leg room be worth it??? Also, I have looked up meals for this flight for economy, and it says there is only one meal – dinner, is that true??? again thank you so much for the content you´ve helped me and my husband on so many trips!!

  16. Great tips Chris! I find choosing the best airline makes a huge impact the difference in space and hidden costs (like charging for seat selection or taking hold luggage). From my experience the Arab airlines are the best and if flying transatlantic then Virgin is hands down the best option. We always look at Seat Guru too!

  17. Thanks Chris, I have 15 hour flight and then another connecting flight after 4 hour layover, so this was helpful video. I was surprised there was no mention of neck pillows, do you not recommend them?

  18. We flew from Auckland to Houston a few years ago with Air New Zealand, hubby and I both sat on the aisle seats, both of us had a spare seat each way and you could still talk to each other. Highly recommend Air New Zealand 🇳🇿

  19. Chris unfortunately it cost extra money to pick your seat up to $50US
so you don’t always pick especially on under 10hr flights

  20. If you're flying solo and the plane is 3-3-3, I'd recommend getting an aisle in the middle section. Chances are, the other two seats will be occupied by the same household, and you won't have someone pestering you whenever they need to get up.
