Travel vlog #78 | Kansai, Japan | Filmed May-June 2023

While in Osaka, we explored the Kansai Region. Known for its fertile lands and lush forested mountains, Kansai was home to the Japanese Emperor for 1200 years. We learned about Japanese history; its national drink, Sake; the national religion, Shinto; and also experienced some of the non-touristy side.

About Us:
——————————————————-
We are Matt and Avic and we’ve been international Nomads since June of 2021. In May of 2021, we quit our jobs, sold our house, got rid of most of our stuff (stored the rest,) and set out on a Nomadic Life. In our first two years, we visited 24 countries, bringing our lifetime total to 46, and we’re not stopping now!

Matt grew up in Virginia, USA, and Avic in Quezon City, Philippines. Since we started dating back in the 1990s, travel has been a major part of our relationship, traveling to 27 countries between 1993 and 2020.

“Explore Tayo” means “let’s explore” in Taglish (blended Tagalog-English.) “Tayo” is the inclusive “we” vs the exclusive “kami.” This isn’t just OUR journey, we want to include everyone who watches our videos or visits our site so we hope you will hit “like” and “subscribe” and come along for the ride!
