*About Lucky Pierrot*
Lucky Pierrot (ラッキーピエロ) is a Japanese fast food chain that can only be found in Hakodate in Hokkaido, making it the rarest fast food restaurant in Japan, but it’s so good that it has claimed the first prize for Best Local Burger store in Japan! In addition to burgers, ラッピ (“Lappi”), as it is affectionately known by locals, specialises in a huge range of hearty Japanese food favourites like Japanese curry rice, omurice, and yakisoba noodles in 17 fantastically decorated stores throughout the city. Sit down with Elvis or Marilyn Monroe, eat in a circus, art gallery, or jungle – each of Lucky Pierrot’s branches will keep you entertained from floor to ceiling to stomach with the whacky interior design choices. At its heart, Lucky Pierrot is not a fast food chain, it’s a themed restaurant! All of its 17 branches use local ingredients for the freshest burger experience and during a good harvest, over 80% of the ingredients used in their delicious recipes are sourced locally from Hokkaido. All of this means is that if you visit Hokkaido, Lucky Pierrot is a must-try restaurant!

*What to Eat*
You can’t visit Hakodate without trying Lucky Pierrot’s best-selling item, the Lucky Pierrot “Chinese Chicken Burger” (チャイニーズチキンバーガー)! It’s so good, it won the Favourite Hamburger Association gold award and helped put Lucky Pierrot on the map as Japan’s best burger joint! Order the burger by itself or as a set with the original Lucky Pierrot Potato fries (オリジナルラキポテ) (“lasagne fries”!) covered in a delicious combo of demi-glace, white, and cheese sauce, and a Lucky Pierrot Oolong Tea.

We also ordered everyone’s favourite Lucky Pierrot Shake in Mocha flavour and a huge platter of the 人気no.1 (“ninki no.1”) best-selling noodles, “Ankake soba” (yakisoba noodles covered in a thick soy-sauce and potato starch based sauce, served with stir fried vegetables) in this Lucky Pierrot reaction and travel vlog.
