This walk starts along the docks in Wakkanai, the northernmost city in Japan on the island of Hokkaido. The city once had strong ties to Russia and Sakhalin Island, though now its once thriving Russia town is filled with abandoned storefronts. Along the way we walk through quiet neighborhoods, spot a couple deer on a hillside shrine, and finish our walk at Wakkanai Station. Enjoy!
