That's pretty tough on camera enthusiasts requiring a license to at the Tenku no Torii. I can't imagine they would be all that bothered (or enforce the rule) if you are just whipping out your DSLR and small lens to capture group photos. I'd imagine it's more to stop it becoming a hot spot of photographers bringing their tripods for timelapses…
That's great you got to have some alone time and that you enjoyed it ♥️ I did find it amusing that when you decide to take alone time the rest of the gang tidied up the RV – so either you needed the restbite or you just wanted an excuse to get out of chores 😉 haha. Getting a little break away can be really beneficial though. I actually think part of why I'm a night owl is that when everyone else goes to bed I get to spend a couple hours by myself and being able to zen out in the quietness and detach from whatever else has been going on that day.
Those football pitches next to Mt Fuji are stunning. I'm jealous of the kids who get to play there! I used to be a goalkeeper so if I ever played there I'd just spend 90% of my time standing awe-struck at the views 😅
