KUALA LUMPUR, MALAYSIA – Sadly, it’s is my last day in Malaysia. I have come to eat Nasi Kapau (Nasi Padang). Nasi Kapau or Nasi Padang Indonesian food and specifically from the area of Padang in West Sumatra. Locals told me that this is the best Nasi Kapau (Nasi Padang) in Malaysia. Nasi Padang is an delicious street food from Indonesia and you can find legendary Nasi Padang in Kuala Lumpur. I came to the Kuala Lumpur restaurant called Restoran Nasi Kapau. They are very friendly in there and have a plethora of amazing food to choose from. The concept of Nasi Padang (Nasi Kapau) is very similar to Nasi Lemak. You get a plate of rice and choose your toppings from all the different dishes on offer. The plate is vibrant in colour and full of flavours. Of course, you cannot finish without Sambal on the side of the plate. It is a truly incredible street food here in Malaysia and one which you must eat when you are in Kuala Lumpur.
But the question is, is Nasi Padang better than Nasi Lemak?

Nasi Padang is similar to Nasi Champur Malaysia,.only the name is different..
Nasi Lemak is coconut milk rice is a bit different and has different varieties of lauk or dishes/gravy/sambal..
Both taste good..and have own speciality..

hope you enjoyed your stay in our beautifully diverse country. Suffice to say there is no best between Indian, Chinese and Malay cuisines. All have their merits and the melding of one cuisine into another is what makes Malaysia truly Asia
