Bon Odori (盆踊り), meaning “Bon dance”, is a style of dancing performed during the Obon festival. The music can be songs specific to the spiritual message of Obon, or local folk songs, different from region to region. Residents of the Kansai area will recognize the famous “Kawachi Ondo”.
