Oh boy! There were SO many interesting features in this massive, multi-level, abandoned mine including a flooded vertical shaft of unknown depth, a main haulage tunnel that’s 2000 feet long (609 m), colonies of dive-bombing bats, endless tunnels, lots of heavy-duty timbering, and scary artwork from an unknown painter.
Here in Part 1, I explore most of the main haulage tunnel and one of its branching drifts that leads to a large, flooded vertical shaft. While wandering through endless tunnels, I came across a few colonies of bats hanging upside down from the ceiling. They appeared to be quite active and healthy.
Don’t miss the sneak-peek previews of scenes from Part 2 at the end of this video!

I watched these days ago. Came back to re-watch & comment. I really love the shots you got at the beginning of those interesting clouds & snow covered mountains! Beautiful! Great video Frank! 👍👍Thank you! Thank you!👍👍💗🖤💙🖤💙🖤💙🖤💙💗
Well I held my phone tighter while you were filming over that flooded shaft. I was mentally helping you hold on to your phone ,not to accidentally drop it down that flooded shaft.
Great camera. Much better than before. So glad you upgraded. Sometimes, newer tech is the way to go. I try to stay old school. But soon, I just feel old.
Why I don’t see the 4K option? I only have the 1080p.
I gotta say Frank, ever since you decided to go 4K, the picture quality has vastly improved! That haulage looks wide enough that you could have driven your Corolla in it, lol! It's amazing how clear the ground water is in an abandoned mine. Great video!
Nice video picture!!
Brent from cerro Gordo would love a shaft full of water like that!
Yes, your phone offers better clarity then the camera, as I viewed some of your other/past videos. Scenes are sharp and you are not doing as much "waving around". (everyone has their "style" I guess). We're seeing some interesting abandoned mines. Thanks for sharing your explores with us. (oh, and the main haulage is called and adet, not a tunnel……I know, I'm prone to calling them tunnels at times too.)
Awesome video exploration as always, the video quality is great! I know a few people who use their iPhones for creating videos for YouTube, training films for the FD as well, no complaints. Thanks for sharing, Frank, stay safe. Quick note, the scenery outside looks amazing!
Wow
iPhone video looks great!! Thanks for a great video, very exciting
Nice improvement on video quality, all for our enjoyment, thanks Franck!

Missed quite a few of your recent videos. Interesting that you've switched cameras as I'm getting motion sickness watching this one – never been a problem before
