THE PATH OF WILDNESS

The Path of Wildness is easy to find
The course of a stream
Leaves blown in the wind
A beast’s track through the brush
And the direction of our first inclination

The Path of Wildness is an answer and response to a prescribed way of life which may leave some individuals with a sense that their living is little more than a series of pre-determined, step-like episodes between birth and death. The stages of living between these events: childhood, adolescence, adulthood, parenthood and senior are themselves natural and in accord with the needs of the species and most individuals. Many find their satisfaction in living this course and to these individuals I have little or nothing to say. Others though long for something more; something innate, genetic and seemingly calling. Adventure and change can give a degree of satisfaction and relief yet even these may seem too tame. To those who feel drawn to something beyond the entertainment and stimulation of senses I offer a walk along The Path of Wildness. Don’t bother penciling the event in your schedule, preparing a pack with goodies and supplies or even inviting a friend along, for this experience is along the course of your first inclination and you must surely always go alone.

  1. I love your videos. I am so interested in Japan and I think it's awesome you live there. I hope to be able to see it in person someday.

  2. love your videos, I know this is strange.. but when I think back on your videos, the memory feels like I was there myself haha. Keep it up. I'd love to visit japan someday, and practice my Japanese even more.

  3. This was AWESOME!

Tons of stuff to see, and a great location.

I'm astounded at the liveliness of it all. I guess coastal areas are like that, but I never see that many people out and about where I live. (Unless they're drunk…)

  4. It's interesting the Japanese aren't ashame to go into a hotel for a couple of hours and have a shag.Yet, in Australia if we tried to do this we would be so embarrased (or a least my boyfriend was).

  5. Great walkabout Kurt–thanks. Don't know how you rode all the way there on your bicycle in that heat though. Must be 20 k from Shizuoka city . Must get there myself sometime–thanks again.

  6. yes it is unpleasent. But many japanese people want to talk to me so i think the people in the perade. In the video you mentiond. Its the minority of the 12 million people in tokyo.

  7. The two black cats at 22:22. Either the Matrix has changed something, or you were twice as lucky? lol Weird thoughts for a weird coincidence. Maybe there's a third cat? Weird stuff. :l

  8. wow, the water looks emerald green. is that just the fishing boat area, or is that the actual color of the ocean in that part of the country?

  9. I know this is an older video, but is the beach at the end the same beach featured in your recent swimming video? It looks similar to what I remember, with the rocky breaks in the water, but I suppose that might be a common feature.

  10. You mixed up conjugate with copulate.  Never knew there were that many love hotels in Japan I guess with the paper thin walls and tiny houses it makes sense though.
