Settling in to watch this chat. Random question for you…will my US adapter really work in Japan? I was super surprised to read that Japan and the US use the same plug and voltage. 😮. So I came here to my trusted source for everything Japan lol..is this true? Would be nice to not have to bring a travel charger!

Hey Nathan! I'm listening to this as I clean my apartment! Great livestream! 😆 Yesterday, I went ahead and booked a hotel for the end of July – early August for 9 nights in Tokyo, and got a $60 discount. Might be way too early, but I found a very nice deal in Akihabara! I'll keep my eyes open in case a better deal comes along, but rooms are already starting to sell out. 😂 As far as the yen goes, I was able to get a good bang for my buck last March! I'm an artist, and I bought some Copic Markers from the official store! Got an amazing deal on the 72 piece set! The exchange rate from USD was pretty good. But now to watch the flight prices… They're pretty high at the moment from Los Angeles. It'll be interesting to see the prices change over the next few months. My question — have you been to Otaru in Hokkaido? (Sorry if you've mentioned or showcased it before!) The seafood markets look amazing!!

Kyoto was crazy busy last year November. It wasn’t as bad this July. I’m thinking the autumn is the busiest time there for tourism.
