The spring tide festival is held on June 15 of the lunar calendar every year, and fishermen carry portable shrines to pray for a good catch and safety at sea.
The portable shrine parades out of Kawaguchi Shrine (about 6:30 AM) via Wosse, Higashi Ginza, Choko Shrine, Daiichi Ichiba, Hamadori, and Daini Ichiba.
The best thing to see is the brave preparation in the 2nd market around 16 o’clock.
