  1. Oh my gosh the intro of this video is SO cinematic!!! I love it ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜ and ummm that ramen restaurant with the water shoot thing sounds like heaven ๐Ÿ˜‚ have fun in Japan!!! We canโ€™t wait to visit there! Weโ€™ll definitely have to try out some of that fire ramen!

  2. Kyoto is beautiful. I can see why it is overrun with tourists. Too bad about the weather, I wanted an extended Probably Lost fix in Kyoto, oh well. That last market with the tantalizingly beautiful goodies made my mouth water more than a little. When I lived in Boston I would go to Chinatown every now and then and sometimes visit a Chinese bakery and get the most unusual but delicious baked goods, your video reminded me of those long ago days. Keep em comin and I'll keep watchin, peace…and happy trails.

  3. Too bad for the weather, at least you guys went through some extremes to say the least! From soaking rain to hell fire in that Ramen restaurant ๐Ÿ˜…! Love your videos as always!

  6. Hello from Osaka! (Well, technically from Nishinomiya, a little west of Osaka.) Looks like youโ€™re enjoying Japan! Hope you keep having a great time. Donโ€™t forget to go see Himeji Castle, and maybe try to check out Arima Onsen. And Kobe is a nice place to hang out, shop, and eat. Enjoy!

  7. I am a Japanese living in Kyoto.

Kyoto is not as big a city as Tokyo, but there are so many shrines and temples that it would be impossible to see them all in one day.

In addition, you can visit the Fushimi area sake brewery and Suntory's Yamazaki distillery, which is famous for whiskey, although advance reservations are required, and there are whiskeys that can only be drunk there.

If you like alcohol, it might be a good idea to visit.

Also, if you come to Kyoto, I recommend Shiga prefecture next door. The specialty Omi beef is famous as one of Japan's three major wagyu beef, and you can eat more delicious meat at a reasonable price than Kobe beef.

  8. I am glad you posted this. Sometimes weather doesn't cooperate with our plans…and this is coming from a retired USAF weather chic! You both made the best of it and that's awesome!
