Mt. Moriyoshi is located in the northern region of Akita Prefecture. Due to its unique geological features, soft rimes or “snow monsters” are formed in winter when fog and cloud particles freeze on trees. Visit the beautiful mountains in Chino and Komagane city in Nagano.
The views at the top of Mt. Kurumayama and Senjojiki Cirque were breathtaking and best of all you can get to the top easily by a ski lift or cable car.
For those who want more of a workout, it’s a great starting place to hike to the other mountains in the Japan alps!
