Summer walk in Arnhem, the capital of Gelderland.
First time for me in this city centre. Although I roughly planned the walking route, I forgot a few places like the Musis park. I’ll do a 2nd walk in the future. The city received a lot of damage in the battle of Arnhem, WWII but I think it still has a cosy atmosphere especially around the 7 little streets area. Lots of interesting shops.
The city is famous for its parks and greenery. The urbanization in the north on hilly terrain is also quite unusual for the Netherlands.

  7. When I went to the Netherlands
for the first time, I found the town's and cities to be really quiet and calm, it was great. I am most likely going to live there this year because I could be going back for essential travel

  8. Thnx for this video. Nice to see my city through the eyes (camera) of a stranger.
I wonder where you are from, Wandering Thomas.

  9. Hello Thomas and thank you again for the videos. I stayed Queensday weekend in Arnhem at the Best Western hotel in 2010 when the work was at an early stage. Obviously finished now and looks quite spectacular and i remember the round construction at 1.00 minute in was surrounded by only dirt and machinery then. What is that exactly? Is that part of the station or leads to underground shops? Peace.

  10. This railway station is very bad designed for disabled people with walking problems because of the idiotic sloping floors.

  11. This seems to be a very charming city, I hope I can visit sometime in the future when all this is over. Seeing and sharing places like this is why I love traveling and make videos so much!
