Travelling on the Kagoshima Line Semi Rapid service from Kokura to Arao via Hakata (main station for Fukuoka) on the island of Kyushu, on 20 November 2016
The service, 1642 hrs ex Kokura was operated by a 6 car 813 class EMU & departed approximately 3 minutes late, due to a late running Limited Express Sonic service ahead of it.
This section of the Kagoshima line, is double track, with a double track freight line adjacent.
