A trip via Shinkansen to Karuizawa, where we discovered a hidden gem in Yagasaki Park, enjoyed the fun of being at 2 Prefectures at the same time at Usui Pass Observatory Platform. The trip back to Karuizawa Station encountered some mini-drama when we realised that the bus does not go back to the hotel and we had an impromptu hike from Kyu-Karuizawa back to the Station. But that also gave us the opportunity to have our lunch at Hario Cafe, which was fantastic. We had a great afternoon of outlet shopping at Karuizawa Prince Shopping Plaza to end the day!
