I would suggest to buy Wheat, Rice & Beans from Japan and rest spices, snacks, cooking ware and other food & non food items from India. It will cost you only 270INR per Kg. Maximum 20kg you can send from India and it took only 2 weeks to received it. Regarding ghee and semi-liquid items pack it well and send it. If you ask post office person they will tell you not to send it but if you pack well there should not be any problem. Check following link before sending anything to Japan.
