We visited one of Japan’s most famous hot springs resorts, Beppu in Oita Prefecture. On the first day, we explored the Hells of Beppu, which is seven hot springs for viewing rather than bathing.
On the second day, we visited Takasakiyama Monkey Park. It’s a monkey reserve at Mount Takasaki and home to 1,000 wild Japanese macaques.
