I am getting an awesome haircut, ear cleaning, and shave with a dash of unintentional ASMR to help you relax and go to sleep with. It’s a long ASMR video.

I returned for a 4th haircut video at Ko Tang Barbershop, established in 1936, in the historic Chinese trading area of Jakarta called Glodok — also called Chinatown.

Why did I have blue hair?

This 87 year old barbershop offers the ancient Chinese ear cleaning, or ear picking technique as a standard inclusion with the haircuts. This is a three step process for ear wax removal, or ear wax extraction

Ko Tang barbershop has become very popular among the Indonesian politicians in Jakarta. They believe that if they come and get a haircut here, then it will bring them luck and win the election, whether it be for Jakarta’s mayor, or the Indonesian president.

Do the barbers have magical hands to bring anyone luck? They do know how to make you look good, with barbers in their 80s and some with 60 years of experience.

I never ordered, but the standard order here is to get the works. That includes haircut, hair wash with head massage, shave, and ear cleaning. I sat down, and the master barber went to work.

This time I chose to have my barber session with Pices, 63 years old, with 44 years of experience, and from Kalimantan in Borneo. He has cut the hair of the top politicians in Indonesia, and has the pictures on the wall to prove it.

At the end of the video I ate amazing Indonesian street food outside this barbershop. Laksa and coffee. So delicious.
