I visited Samosir, the island in Lake Toba that is home to the Toba Batak tribe. I was prescribed some medicine while I was in Bukit Lawang and needed to refill it in Samosir. The pharmacy tried to overcharge me, asking for 50,000 when the HET price on the medicine sleeve was printed as 22,000. It’s against the law for them to charge higher than the HET price.

  2. I wouldn't really say those are pharmacy, those are little shops where u can buy common needs, including medicine. A real official pharmacy would look clean and would charge you the real price. They wouldn't have the guts to overcharge people.
