The Iran Saipa Quik 5 door hatchback is built on the basis of the well-known Kia Rio. It is a direct competitor to such sedans cars as the Lada Vesta, Iran Khodra Tara and Hyundai Solaris.

  1. Thanks a lot. I am an Iranian and definately I can add some interesting info for people here. One interesting fact is how on earth Iran has succeeded to produce this car on its own for only 10000 USD?!
As an answer I can tell you, it is not entirely because of "cheap labour force" in Iran as even though the labour force in Iran is cheap but sadly due to economic corruption and regular embezzelments, this alone wouldn't guarantee the successful manufacturing of this car at this price.
Instead, the real reason is the US sanctions!
Now I know what you think but I tell you, you are wrong. I don't mean that US sanctions "have motivated Iran" to be self independent even though that that had a possible effect too.
    Bit instead I want to dig deeper and tell you something which you can never know it without I telling it to you and here it is;
So again what is in US sanctions and massive international isolation which has helped Iran to build this car?!
Well, it is "being left alone and not checked" for what you do. That can be a superb hidden opportunity and blessing in a lot of cases but in this special case, it is very much as I tell you.
Did you see this "Saipa" company in the video?
What if I tell you they are professional thieves, who have stolen the main existence of this car from you, the westerners?!
You probably would surprised and I don't mean anything bad against Iran but it is indeed the truth as is explained below:
This car "has entirely and officially got designed and created with the super expensive but now hacked and cracked design and Simulation Software which western car manufacturers have to pay a huge fee for using them". But for "Saipa' and all Iranian car companies these software cost zero USD.
Hence instead of 13000-15000 USD price range, these cars have a corresponding price of around 10000 USD. Hence you guys in the west have around 3000 USD of your money in each of these cars due to what has been stolen from your endeavours in your societies. Of course these cars are banned to enter the free world, but in unfree worlds, they can be had as is the case in Russia.
Of course Iran uses the same cracked software for design of its misseils and drones too but that is another story.

  2. Russel, could you make a vlog on the Chinese vehicles that have been launched or yet to be launched in Russia?

  3. Iran can produce 80% of a passenger car autonomously, whereas Russia struggles to produce anything without Chinese help. I really don't know if this is all for laughing or crying.

  4. Hi Russell, thanks a lot for your car report from Russia. I hope Iranian cars at payable prices will find a good market place in Russia and other countries around in Central Asia.

  5. Hey Russell. Are you considering coming and seeing Magnitogorsk? We have built here just a wonderful city resort "Attraction"

  6. You call this thing “a car”? 😵‍💫
    It’s a toilet.
Keep your 7 or 10.000 dollars snd buy a 15 year old real car.
You will get a far better car than that 3d-world trash

  7. Wow, you have to be pretty closed off and sanctioned to be excited about an Iranian car. That's not really "winning."

  8. Beautiful car, Saipa Quick. My choice of color blue slate gray. Thank you for sharing the video, great tour.

  9. The Iranian car is horrible looking and looks like a cheap 1970’s compact vehicle. On the other hand the Chinese autos look awesome.

  10. SAIPA Quick is a low budget good car suitable for African market as well.

  11. Liked "The Cross/Saipa" Simple and economic is always better, regardless of wealth status. CAR = point A to Point B. I agree, the and engineering are amazing!! Thanks Russell.

  12. currently in Iran the brand new Qiuk arrived from company is about 6k$ and in the market is about 7k$ to 8k$. depends on the model and transsmission.

  13. Looks like a slightly more modern version of the Yugo…..essentially a deathtrap on wheels. Iranian engineering? No thanks.

  14. My next car will be a Solid State Battery EV with a range of 1200 km on a single charge and can be recharged in 10 minutes. These petrochemical fueled cars are 20th century technology…..

  15. One dollar is 491670 iranian rial, so if this car is 10000 dollar in iran this car price will be 4916700000 iranian rial soo this car is expensive as hell in iran

  16. Despite this is not the SEMA Las Vegas Auto Show anyway, the biggest one in the world, we see here an honest approach in Governments Cooperation, between Teheran and Moscow, very positive in my humble opinion. This cooperation would be practical when the importer country develops the spare and service parts manufacturig, which is crucial, very sensitive in order to keep up competition market among the western auto manufacturers as well. I would invite to Iranian or Russian or any other manufacturer, to test their prototypes in my home Country, Colombia, the ecuatorial tropic, with high mountains and hills highways, high humidity, towns located between with 9000 to 250 FT over sea level, temperatures from 9 Celsious Degrees to 35 Celsius degrees in only 80 Kms o 50 miles of driving, hard driving, engines over 4.000 RPM most of the time of journey in this type of topography I`m telling you, tough and severe enviroment operations machines, including cooling systems, electrical, gear shifts and differential ratios adapted to climbing driving operatios, etc, etc. It`s a real adventure, and with the final data in hands, they could build a very unbeatable and reliable product, I`m realy shure. Toyota did it in the 80`s and 90`s here, and the people know how indestructible the Land Cruiser 4×4 is today. Nice video, thanks and take care.
