Ulva Island, Rakiura National Park’s jewel, is one of the few pest-free open sanctuaries in New Zealand. The island is managed by the Dept of Conservation and supported by the Ulva Island Charitable Trust.
It is the largest of several small islands in the Paterson Inlet.
The island has three walks: History Story Walk, Conservation Walk and Nature Walk, and a couple of tracks: Boulder Beach to West End Beach and West End Beach to Post Office Bay.

How To Get There:
– Water Taxi – this is our pick – 7-10 minutes for 25NZD return
– Ulva Island Ferry – 20 minutes for 20 NZD return
