It's "cha-nai". Same pronunciation as "char" in "charcoal", not kanai.
Nice video
Where did you go ๐ ???
The heat caused by recent El Nino heatwave. So, take care of yourself, avoid getting heat stroke
Welcome back to Malaysia!
Welcome back to Malaysia,Jack!Stay safe & take care!
Referring to @4:34 – its NOT pronounce with a "K" its pronounced with a "CH" – Roti CANAI (CHANAI not KANAI). Whenever you see words in the Malay or Indonesian language – a "C" is ALWAYS pronounced with "CH" (As in CHina)… never a "K"… please ask a Malaysian on the proper pronunciation of things in Malaysia.
Nice to know you are back to Malaysia.
Enjoy your moment in the country this time – I have seen you are not awkward eating rice with your hand.

Welcome back to the food heaven in Asia..๐ป๐ป๐ป๐p/s don't forget penang ..
It is pronounced as roti chanai but spelled as canai. This is the new spelling. Anything with ca or ce ci co is pronounced as chai. Except for formal name, the spelling does not change
Hi, first of all.roti canai – pronounce as ROTI CHANAI. Try going to east coast, Kelantan and Terengganu, you will experience different live style. Mingle with local that's the best way to experience.
Not graffiti , its street art
the first roti canai is correct not roti kanai
Roti canai as in ch not k๐
Not grafitti. Mural ie. With stories
Thanks so much for a great vid very helpful as heading there in 3 weeks for a 10 day break from the Melbourne cold, cheers๐
If you want to eat by your own hand
1. Use your right hand after you wash it first without soap!!!
2.second take your food with the right hand and bring YOUR HAND WITH FOOD TO YOUR MOUTH HORIZONTALLY FROM INFRONT, OF YOUR FACE!!!! FIRST TAKE THE FOOD THEN TAKE YOUR HAND UP TO THE SAME LEVEL OF YOUR MOUTH,FROM INFRONT OF YOUR MOUTH, THEN BRING IT HORIZONTALLY!!!AND NGAP YUMMY
Its ROTI CANAI PRONOUN AS CA = CHA AS YOU SAY "CHANCE" AS YOU PRONOUN IT AS IN BRITISH SLANG
Don't forget to wash your hands before you eat….
You use hand to eat just like locals
The drink you request is called.tea tarik or pulled tea

Welcome back to Malaysia, Jack. Hope you can travel to all our states.๐ Have a nice journey. You need to wear a cap or a hat, Jack. It's hot here.
Try the "Teh Tarik" – Pull Tea
The pronounciation sound like Roti Chaar-Nine (nine without n sound)
Guys get the Malay made roti chanai much soft and fluffy than mamak/Indian made roti chanai.
you need to know that malaysia is the richest country in the world. .
You are back!๐
2:48 I donโt recommend the Beam bike as the fare per kilometer is as same as taking a taxi/Uber/Grab
It is pronounced โchanaiโ Jack. โCโ sounds like โCHโ ๐
nice video. i am thinking of going to Malaysia, can you tell me the name of the apartment you stayed in please.
Roti Chanai
It is Roti Canai (chanai), not K-9 ^^" You would need to change your chapter title "Madura Square" to "Merdeka Square" (I dont even know how Madura came up to you", Merdeka means "Independent" in Malay Language.. Merdeka Square is a historical site where Malaya declared its independence from British Colonisation. Malaysian here. =)
It's actually roti channai not kanai โค
In Malaysia we have central market .Its all about art and antiques things
