  1. It has been WAY TOO LONG my friends! ❤️ If you follow me on Instagram (NEW: @traveldeeper) you've seen me more frequently (thanks to Travel Trivia Tuesdays), but I wanted to make a video about what I've been going through this year, and why I've been so quiet. Like for all of us, 2020 has been a wild and confusing year! I hope this video makes sense, and I appreciate every single one of you in this community! 🙏
If you are interested in joining the Travel Deeper Bootcamp, I have extended the 50% off early access discount for my YouTube fam for this week only.
    Check it out here:  http://www.traveldeeperbootcamp.com/
I would love to have you be apart of #TeamTravelDeeper but as I mentioned in the video, my goal here isn't to promote – it's just to be open with you guys about what I'm going through. I hope this message finds you all happy, healthy, and productive wherever you are in the world. More #TravelDeeper adventures coming very soon!!! 🌍🥰

  2. I know how you feel I was very close to my grandpa when I was kid my grandpa would come out to long island from queens and we would go to queens and I would stay at his apartment with him and my step grandmother on the weekend that I would back home on Sunday afternoon

  3. So very sorry to learn about the death of your grandfather. These have been especially challenging times for many. I lost my father to dementia in March 2021. Due to COVID I was not able to travel to his funeral service. I feel your grief completely. You and the rest of us will get through this time in our lives. We will hopefully be better for it. Keep doing what you do. I've discovered your site just recently and thoroughly enjoy your enthusiasm, foodie fever and respect for those different than you. Have a great day.

  4. Thanks so much for being "vulnerable" & transparent in sharing your deepest emotions with your followers. I'm an American, born & raised in the Philippines, & residing in New Jersey for the last 30 years. I think I've watched almost all your travel vlogs about the Philippines (which I miss so much), & enjoyed every one of the episodes immensely. I'm sure that, after all this Covid-19 shit is over, you can continue to pursue all your projects aggressively & meaningfully, & I look forward to even more impactful & insightful travelogues from your end, especially a Round 2 for the Philippines. Best of luck & God bless all your work.

  5. Just subscribed. Came across your videos by accident. Sorry to hear about your loss. Praying peace and comfort to you and family. Be well. Thanks for sharing your thoughts.

  6. So sorry you lost your grandpa. I always wondered what it would have been like to meet any of my grandparents as I never did. Looking forward to your future travel videos.

This candid video has given me a deeper understanding and appreciation of you and your message for people around the world. I love to travel and have lived in multiple foreign countries, and it's all about cultural awareness and what it's like to walk in someone else's shoes.

  22. I'm a little late in the game. What I have seen from you Gareth, is just a joy and passion for living and experience and food. I've watched so many travel videos and I know the history of Croatia Etc. You give me an honest and sincere look at a culture, many cultures. I enjoy the time I've invested with you in your travels and experiences and most importantly, as you are connecting with people and cultures that most of us will never enjoy like you do. You are an example of living sheer joy in your life and it is very exciting to follow along and enjoy that with you and those whom you meet along the way. Stay true, stay strong and continue to share your love of food and adventure and people with us. Thank you more than you know.

  23. Gareth, thank you for your vulnerability. I’m sorry for your loss. As a Black woman, thank you for using your platform to speak about issues that aren’t always easy to discuss. I can tell your grandfather did an amazing job with you! You are beautiful on the inside and outside. Many blessings to you, I love your channel.

  24. During these end times, we are all struggling. God bless you and your family. Thank you for all the enjoyable trips around the world!

  25. Amazing commentary! I’m new to the channel as of last week. I’m moving to San Diego next year & want to pre discover the area & the food. I enjoy your videos & you have a wonderful personality. The pandemic hurt the entire planet! The shutdown will go down in history as the biggest mistake every made by man. It’s going to be years, if ever for the world’s economy to rebound. Sorry for the rant. Sorry for your loss as well. Peace be with you & all of us ✌🏼
